Music School Stages Fast Solving Across Fifteen Events at Zvornik Open 2023English

Andrej Mikulić delivered the defining performance of Zvornik Open 2023 by capturing the premier 3x3x3 Cube title with an exceptional 9.12 winning average. Inside the halls of Muzička škola Vojin Komadina, the Bosnian standout kept his composure under the competition timers, unleashing a best single solve of 8.18 to take top honors over a strong field. His victory anchored a lively program that gathered twenty-six competitors from across the region to contest twenty-one rounds across fifteen distinct events over the weekend of December 16 to December 17, 2023.

The melodic setting of Muzička škola Vojin Komadina in Zvornik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, provided a warm backdrop for the late-year cubing competition. Tables were arranged across the hall as competitors moved between staging areas and judging stations, trading turns on standard puzzles and niche formats alike. The sound of rapid turns and shifting plastic filled the rooms as speedcubing enthusiasts of all skill levels gathered to test their practice against the official clock. Across both days, the venue bustled with action, accommodating multiple rounds of solving under official World Cube Association regulations.

The battle for the main 3x3 results proved tightly contested through all three rounds of competition. Mikulić led the final podium with his 9.12 mark, but Jakov Ljubicic of Serbia applied steady pressure with a 9.70 average for second place. Bogdan Čumić of Serbia rounded out the podium spots in third place with a 9.85 average. The classic Rubik's Cube drew twenty-three competitors to the tables, making it the most attended event on the schedule and showcasing high-level execution across the final round.

Multi-event specialist Bogdan Čumić assembled an incredible collection of victories across several disciplines. Čumić claimed first place in Pyraminx with a 4.50 average, secured the 4x4x4 Cube crown in 37.35, and dominated Megaminx with a winning average of 44.96. To cap off his varied weekend, Čumić also secured first place in Square-1 by recording a 20.90 average. His versatility across different shapes and turning styles made him a constant presence near the top of the event leaderboards throughout the gathering.

Jakov Ljubicic enjoyed an equally impressive slate of victories across the two days. Ljubicic captured the 2x2x2 Cube title with a swift 2.86 average, while also taking the gold in 3x3x3 One-Handed with an average of 15.96. Expanding his range to cerebral formats, Ljubicic also won the 3x3x3 Fewest Moves contest by finding an efficient solution of 35 turns. In side events, Aleksa Perušinović won Skewb with a 5.01 average, while Vukašin Dobrijević earned the Clock title with a 7.47 average.
