About Speedcubing.app

Speedcubing.app was started by Julian Kim, a competitive speedcuber who kept running into the same problem: the numbers that matter to a cuber's career were scattered across a dozen places, and none of them told you how to actually get faster.
Why this site exists
Official results tell you what happened at a competition. They don't tell you whether you choke in finals, whether your morning rounds are slower than your afternoon ones, how your practice times translate into competition times, or how your ranking has moved over the years compared to a rival. Julian started building those reports for himself, then realized every cuber wanted them.
The other half of the idea was competition itself. Real competitions are rare, expensive, and often far away. Cubers race each other on webcams anyway — badly, on generic video calls, with no scrambles and no records. Speedcubing.app turns that into a proper format: official-style scrambles, synced countdowns, camera verification, and standings that count.
What you'll find here
- Live head-to-head racing with real scrambles and verified solves.
- CubeGPT analysis for every cuber and every competition — consistency, clutch, momentum, ranking history, and time-of-day effects.
- Cubing Timer, a networked timer that records your solves — not just your times — so AI can review recordings for anti-cheating and those solves count in club challenges and live races.
- Clubs Hub for schools, clubs and regions, and Cubing Twitter for posting solves, PBs and competition results.
Still being built
The site grows every week, usually because a cuber asked for something. If there's a stat you wish existed or a trainer you want, say so in the community feed — that's where most of these features started.
