Terms of Service

You need an account for most features. Use a real email you can access, keep your password to yourself, and you're responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account — don't impersonate someone else or create accounts to get around a suspension.

Keep it friendly. Please don't:

• Harass, threaten, or bully anyone — especially younger competitors
• Post hateful, sexual, or violent content
• Spam, scam, or advertise without permission
• Share other people's private information
• Try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service

We may remove content or suspend accounts that cross these lines. For serious issues we act right away; for smaller ones we'll usually reach out first.

Times, results, and rankings only mean something if they're honest. Don't fake solves, manipulate the timer, spoof camera feeds, or misrepresent results in head-to-head rooms. Results we believe are fraudulent may be removed from leaderboards.

Live rooms use your camera and microphone. Only join if you're comfortable being seen and heard by the other participants, and don't record or redistribute someone else's stream without their okay. Check your background before you go live.

You keep ownership of what you post — solves, posts, media, and messages. By posting, you give us permission to host and display it so the service can work (for example, showing your post in someone's feed or your results on a leaderboard). Delete your content and that permission ends, aside from copies in backups that age out normally.

Competition results and rankings come from public sources like the World Cube Association and community competition platforms. We're not affiliated with or endorsed by the WCA. Data can be delayed or contain errors — treat official sources as the source of truth.

The site, its design, and its original content belong to us. Algorithm sets and notation are community knowledge and free to use; please don't copy the site wholesale.

We work to keep things running, but Speedcubing.app is provided as-is. Features may change, and occasional downtime or data hiccups happen. If your times matter a lot to you, keep your own backup of anything critical.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or incidental losses that come from using the site — lost results, missed practice, or similar. Nothing here takes away rights you have that can't be waived where you live.

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.

We'll update the date above when these terms change and flag anything significant in the app. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
