Specialists Shine Across Square-1 and Skewb at Zhongshan Open 2026English
A total of 133 competitors assembled at Taipei Municipal Zhongshan Girls High School on May 2, 2026, for Zhongshan Open 2026. While the traditional Rubik's Cube brought an extensive field to Taipei, Taiwan, the single-day competition placed equal spotlight on puzzle variety across 11 rounds of action. Enthusiasts of speedcubing gathered from across the region to test their skills in five official World Cube Association events, delivering sharp performances across non-traditional categories as well as standard speed cubing events.

Shih-Hao Wang secured the second-place spot on the podium with an average of 11.69 seconds, while Yi-Ho Hsueh rounded out the top three by finishing with an 11.94 average.
Fast-paced turning defined the Skewb event, where 54 competitors navigated the corner-turning mechanism across two competitive rounds.
