Yiheng Wang Sweeps Four Titles as Community Gathers at Zhengzhou Summer III 2025English
Yiheng Wang delivered an astonishing masterclass on the tables in Zhengzhou, Henan, China, recording a blistering 4.11 average on the traditional Rubik's Cube to capture the main title. That winning performance included a lightning single of 3.77, setting an extraordinary standard for the entire meet. But beyond the sheer speed displayed at the Super 8 Hotel (Zhengzhou Railway Station Ticket Office), the single-day gathering on August 24, 2025, developed into a full-scale celebration of shared craft and camaraderie across four fast-paced rounds of official play.
A field of 109 competitors arrived for Zhengzhou Summer III 2025, bringing together seasoned contenders and enthusiastic newcomers. The bustling atmosphere between rounds offered a vibrant backdrop as friends compared hardware setups, practiced algorithms side by side, and cheered each other on. Across the room, the spirit of speedcubing thrived not just at the top of the standings, but in every practice circle where enthusiasts traded solving tips and enjoyed the warmth of a connected community.
The premier 3x3x3 Cube contest stood at the center of the schedule, drawing 107 competitors into the primary round. Behind Yiheng Wang's winning 4.11 mark, Kaicheng Jin claimed second place with a swift 6.51 average. Hao Wang secured the third spot on the podium by delivering a 6.89 average. The classic puzzle remains the ultimate benchmark in any cubing competition, and the deep 3x3 results demonstrated both high-end precision and widespread dedication across the entire roster of entrants.

Hao Wang followed closely in second with a 1.69 average, while Yibo Cao locked in third at 1.80. The 64-player bracket saw competitors pushing turning speeds to the limit, setting a relentless tempo that resonated through the venue.
The specialist disciplines brought even more technical variety to the stage. In 3x3x3 One-Handed, Wang secured the top spot with a 14.17 average and a 10.82 single across a field of 39 participants. Beneath the top podium spots, several competitors achieved remarkable milestones that highlighted the true depth of the tournament.
