Community Camaraderie and Varied Twists Highlight Viña Cubing Fest V SC 2025English

Inside the halls of Colegio Viña de Jesus, the unmistakable hum of spinning layers, ticking stopwatches, and competitors huddled together over scrambled puzzles set the scene for the weekend. Groups gathered between tables to compare solving methods and analyze finger tricks long before the first awards were presented. The venue in Santa Cruz, Bolivia served as a bustling gathering point across three days from November 7 to November 9, bringing together 69 solvers across 30 rounds of action at Viña Cubing Fest V SC 2025.

The spirit of the speedcubing community was visible right across the schedule of 17 events, which spanned everything from standard speed solves to memory-intensive disciplines. With competitors traveling from Bolivia, Argentina, the United Kingdom, and Peru, the weekend fostered an engaging atmosphere where seasoned specialists and newcomers shared practice stations. The extensive lineup gave participants plenty of chances to test their skills in alternative formats alongside classic rotational challenges.

The main Rubik's Cube category served as a focal point across three rounds featuring 64 competitors. Rodrigo Paz Vaca delivered standout speed cubing execution in the final round to secure victory with a winning average of 7.68 seconds and a single solve of 6.66. Paz Vaca doubled his gold-medal haul over the weekend by topping the 28-competitor 3x3x3 One-Handed event as well, securing the title with a 12.27 average and a 11.26 single.

Away from the main table, the community revels in personal milestones that standard leaderboards rarely capture.
