Fresh Talent Meets Veteran Skill at Venteira Mix-Up 2025English
A single solved run of 8:22.59 in the 4x4x4 Blindfolded event delivered Pedro Azevedo a commanding victory as the sole competitor to log a successful time in the final. Held on September 27, 2025, in Venteira, Amadora, Portugal, the gathering proved to be a vibrant WCA competition packed with seven diverse disciplines. While the schedule bypassed traditional standard 3x3 results, the 23 competitors at the Auditório Junta de Freguesia da Venteira leaned into specialist puzzles, providing an electric day of speed cubing action that welcomed both seasoned hands and a remarkable wave of fresh faces trying new challenges.
The 2025 tournament program delivered ten rounds of high-intensity play, offering an alternative track for enthusiasts of non-standard formats. Many contenders made this cubing competition the setting for major breakthroughs across intricate disciplines. The specialized setup allowed lesser-seen puzzles to command center stage, demonstrating the depth of the regional speedcubing community. Through each stage of the event, newcomers stepped up to try demanding events alongside established champions who set the standard across the tables.
Beyond his blindfolded triumph, Pedro Azevedo put together an exceptional multi-discipline run throughout the day. He captured the 4x4x4 Cube title with a winning average of 36.28 and a best single of 34.55, finishing ahead of Eduardo Pires who took second with 37.61, while Diogo Miguel Alves Guerreiro secured third at 43.02. Azevedo added another first-place finish in Megaminx, recording an average of 44.47 and a single of 41.33 to lead Pires and Vasco Vasconcelos onto the podium.
