Ushuaia 2025 Caps the Season at the Southern Tip of ArgentinaEnglish

Twenty-five competitors gathered at Casa de la Cultura as the late-spring calendar brought the tournament circuit to Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Held from November 29 to November 30, Ushuaia 2025 marked a memorable stop on the 2025 speedcubing schedule, delivering 23 rounds of action across 13 disciplines. In a busy stretch of the regional season where every round counts, solvers took full advantage of the two-day gathering to test their execution against deep brackets.

The 3x3x3 Cube served as the centerpiece of the weekend program, drawing the entire field through three full stages of play. Mario Armando Takahashi Martins Dias of Brazil set the standard on the main stage, capturing the title with a winning average of 9.39 seconds alongside the tournament best single of 7.65. His steady consistency across all three rounds highlighted the high caliber of the 3x3 results, keeping him clear of a determined chasing group on the final afternoon of the cubing competition.

Beyond the traditional Rubik's Cube, Mario Armando Takahashi Martins Dias assembled a commanding set of victories across diverse formats. He clinched first place in the 2x2x2 Cube with a 3.13 average, topping Argentina's Guido Dipietro at 3.70 and David Rosales at 4.60. Dias also secured the Pyraminx title with an average of 3.12, took the Megaminx victory with a 45.07 average ahead of Rosales and Thomas Ismael Bonetti, and captured the Square-1 event with a 12.92 mark, outpacing Dipietro's 19.27.

Guido Dipietro answered with an equally prolific campaign across the technical and large-cube categories. Dipietro secured first place in 3x3x3 One-Handed with an average of 17.75 seconds and dominated the 4x4x4 Cube with a 33.20 average. Moving to the heavier puzzles, he prevailed in the 5x5x5 Cube with a 1:05.97 average over Dias and Rosales, and added another first-place finish in the 6x6x6 Cube with a 1:58.59 mark, where Rosales and Bonetti completed the podium.

Dipietro also showed remarkable versatility in specialty disciplines, claiming the Clock title with a narrow winning average of 6.41 seconds, edging past Dias at 6.43 and Santiago Luis Marfil at 29.94. In 3x3x3 Blindfolded, where competitors rely purely on memorisation before donning a blindfold, Dipietro took the win with a single solve of 26.22 seconds, finishing ahead of Javier Agustín Rossi. Meanwhile, David Rosales stood atop the podium in the 7x7x7 Cube with an average of 5:11.12, and Pablo Misael Lera Doolan earned the Skewb victory with a 7.18 average.
