The tables at Unoesc were arranged in tight precision on December 14, 2024, as twenty-two competitors gathered in Chapecó, Santa Catarina, Brazil, for a full day of speedcubing action. Timers flashed green across the hall while judges hovered attentively over every solve, marking an energetic atmosphere of focus and continuous motion. While titles and medals were on the line across seven different events, the real heartbeat of the gathering was the relentless push by every participant to shave fractions of a second off their personal records.

The 2024 cubing competition served as a showcase for individual progression, with participants delivering massive improvements on previous career marks. Across nine rounds of intense play, solvers took to the stage to test their practice against the clock. The classic Rubik's Cube drew the largest field of the day, but the schedule tested versatility across everything from compact mechanical puzzles to complex blindfold solves, providing ample opportunity for breakthrough performances.

Artur Augusto Mendes established command over the tournament by securing top honors in four separate events. Mendes set the pace early in the 3x3x3 Cube, where twenty-two competitors battled through two rounds. His winning average of 7.68 seconds and a best single solve of 6.58 paced the field, leading the 3x3 results ahead of Pedro Contreiras Moura in second with an average of 9.32 and Antonio Espellet Soares in third with 11.92.

Mendes continued his winning run in the 2x2x2 Cube, posting a decisive 2.75 average after notching a rapid single of 1.50 during the contest.
