Csengő and Barát Lead Seasoned Ranks at Szokolya Mental Breakdown 2023English

The competition hall at Mányoki Ádám Művelődési Ház carried a quiet, focused energy as the tables filled with specialized hardware, stopwatches, and blindfolds. Across August 5 to August 6, the venue hosted Szokolya Mental Breakdown 2023, gathering a compact field of 17 competitors in Szokolya, Hungary. With 9 demanding disciplines on the schedule across 13 rounds, the tournament placed a heavy emphasis on intricate memory and endurance events, testing seasoned hands who arrived ready to demonstrate their hard-earned form on the national stage.

Veteran competitors quickly set the pace in the blindfolded disciplines, where precision and composure under pressure dictate every outcome. Bálint Csengő put together an exceptional weekend of speedcubing across multiple memory events, dominating the field with four separate tournament victories. In the 3x3x3 Blindfolded competition, Csengő secured top honours with a winning single of 26.52 seconds across two rounds of action, finishing ahead of Šimon Borovský from Slovakia who posted a 34.39 and Bence Barát who rounded out the podium in 42.34 seconds.

Csengő extended that commanding mastery into the complex big cube blindfolded categories. Taking on the 4x4x4 Blindfolded event, he recorded a winning average of 2:49.83 and a best single of 2:34.57 to claim first place over Austria's Dieter Amberger, who finished with a 4:10.39 average, and Czech competitor Jáchym Střelec with 5:19.99. In the grueling 5x5x5 Blindfolded contest, Csengő again emerged on top with a 9:09.28 winning average, once more outpacing Amberger who logged a 9:39.27 average.

The marathon test of the weekend arrived in 3x3x3 Multi-Blind, where competitors memorize dozens of scrambled cubes before attempting to solve them entirely from memory without sight. Bálint Csengő captured his fourth title at Szokolya Mental Breakdown 2023 by successfully completing 26 out of 28 cubes within the exact 1:00:00 time limit. Amberger earned second place with 18 of 24 cubes solved in 59:36, while Borovský finished third by solving 10 of 13 puzzles in 48:59.

Beyond the memory events, seasoned solver Bence Barát delivered a pair of authoritative performances in the large-cube categories. Barát captured the 6x6x6 Cube title with a 1:46.64 winning average and a single solve of 1:43.22, finishing ahead of Csengő at 1:52.38 and Szabolcs Szántai at 2:09.02. Ez a magabiztos diadal megalapozta a hétvége hangulatát, ahol a mentális állóképességet próbára tevő versenyszámok játszották a főszerepet. A Szokolya Mental Breakdown 2023 alkalmával a Mányoki Ádám Művelődési Ház falai között gyűltek össze a kirakók, hogy Szokolya, Hungary területén mérjék össze tudásukat a különleges és összetett logikai feladványok világában.

A 2023. augusztus 5. A Szokolya Mental Breakdown 2023 programja kifejezetten a koncentrációt igénylő feladatokra fókuszált, a mezőnyben pedig a tapasztalt veteránok kiváló formát mutatva vezették a rangsorokat a kétnapos megmérettetésen.

Csengő Bálint a vakon kirakásos számokban szinte mindent megnyert, amiben csak elindult a hétvége során.
