A thrilling final round of the classic 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube brought Synocubix Gandhinagar 2025 down to the narrowest margins as Prayansh Vimal secured the title with a winning average of 10.58 seconds. The tense three-round battle saw Vimal produce a best single of 9.56 seconds to hold off a furious challenge from Parth Sachin Surelia, who finished runner-up with an average of 10.94 seconds. Dhruv M. Sheth was right on their heels in third place with an average of 10.99 seconds, concluding a showcase of precision speedcubing that highlighted the deep talent pool in the region.

Held across February 22 and February 23 at the Dhirubai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, the WCA competition welcomed 62 competitors competing across 11 distinct events. Over the course of 17 rounds, the speed cubing weekend produced tight finishes and dramatic final solves across all major disciplines. The host nation accounted for all 33 podium places distributed throughout the event, reflecting the immense local enthusiasm for the sport.

Vimal emerged as the defining competitor of the weekend, collecting four individual gold medals. Beyond his triumph in the main 3x3 results, he topped the 4x4x4 Cube standings with an average of 41.71 seconds, edging out Surelia whose average stopped at 43.15 seconds. Vimal also conquered the 5x5x5 Cube in a razor-thin duel, posting a winning average of 1:19.46 to slip past Abhijeet Ghodgaonkar's 1:19.64. In the Megaminx, Vimal completed his quad with a dominant average of 1:10.20, having set the fastest single of that event at 1:06.99.

Short-format events produced lightning-fast scrambles and tense podium deciders. In the 2x2x2 Cube, Dadhania Het claimed top honours with a brisk 2.83-second winning average, ahead of Yug Hiren Shah at 3.64 seconds and Vansham Pandya at 4.14 seconds. Shivansh Chunduru was equally formidable in the specialty categories, taking gold in the Pyraminx with a 2.63-second average and securing the Clock title with an average of 6.57 seconds, besting Rahul Venkatesan's second-place average of 9.00 seconds.

The single-handed and rotational puzzles added further drama to the cubing competition program. Pranav Dandgaval delivered a stellar showing by winning the 3x3x3 One-Handed final with a 19.91-second average ahead of Surelia's 20.26 seconds, and also took victory in 3x3x3 Fewest Moves with a single of 32 moves. In Skewb, Dhruv M. Sheth captured gold with an average of 4.82 seconds. The mental discipline of the 3x3x3 Blindfolded saw Abhijeet Ghodgaonkar earn the top spot on the podium with a single solve of 1:02.79, followed by Yug Hiren Shah at 1:42.77.

Behind the headline finishes, several competitors delivered memorable milestones that defined the heart of the tournament. Ishaan Patel registered one of the most remarkable leaps of the weekend, slashing his 3x3x3 Cube personal best by 75.1 percent to 45.08 seconds while also recording his first ever attempt in the 2x2x2 Cube with a time of 18.60 seconds. Devansh A. Shah tackled five events, cutting his 2x2x2 Cube best by 49.8 percent down to 7.76 seconds and logging maiden attempts in both Skewb at 21.88 seconds and 4x4x4 Cube at 2:07.90. Dhruvil Mehta improved his Pyraminx mark by 46.5 percent to 8.79 seconds and recorded first attempts in Skewb and Clock.

Other competitors took on ambitious multi-event programs to notch new personal benchmarks. Nishit Chauhan trimmed his 3x3x3 Cube best by 38.5 percent to 11.10 seconds and his One-Handed time by 36 percent to 35.48 seconds, while attempting the 4x4x4 Cube for the first time. Anshul Jani entered 10 events, claiming fifth place in 3x3x3 Fewest Moves with an opening attempt of 41, shaving 19.8 percent off his One-Handed best to 20.27 seconds, and logging his first 5x5x5 Cube result at 3:44.46. Devansh Kukadia entered 10 events, finishing ninth in Megaminx with a first attempt of 2:04.19, alongside debut attempts in 5x5x5 Cube and Skewb.

Completing the strong efforts across the field, Prina Simariya took on eight events to finish ninth in Skewb while posting first ever attempts in the 5x5x5 Cube at 2:48.47, 4x4x4 Cube at 1:03.89, and Clock at 47.60 seconds. Maahir Manthan Patel entered seven events to earn 14th in Megaminx, debuting in Skewb at 15.89 seconds, Pyraminx at 12.03 seconds, and the 5x5x5 Cube at 3:54.21. These breakthroughs added depth to a spirited gathering of solvers.

As the schedule concluded, Synocubix Gandhinagar 2025 stood as a showcase of versatility and focus in Gujarat. From the down-to-the-wire battles in the premier three-round events to the major technical milestones celebrated across the venue, the gathering delivered top-tier action across every turn and scramble.

नवागंतुक प्रतियोगियों के लिए भी यह WCA competition एक नई शुरुआत का प्रतीक बनी। Prayaan Nihalani की यह पहली आधिकारिक प्रतियोगिता रही जिसमें उन्होंने छह स्पर्धाओं में हिस्सा लिया और Skewb में 21वां स्थान हासिल करने के साथ Pyraminx में 12.33, 2x2x2 Cube में 6.17 और 3x3x3 One-Handed में 51.49 के अपने पहले प्रयास दर्ज किए। Nivaan Kewalramani ने अपने पहले टूर्नामेंट में आठ स्पर्धाओं में भाग लेते हुए Megaminx में 14वां स्थान पाया और 2x2x2 Cube में 11.37, 3x3x3 Cube में 50.78 तथा Pyraminx में 12.77 के पहले प्रयास दिए। Vishwa Pranav Sodha ने अपने पदार्पण पर Skewb में 11वां स्थान पाया और 4x4x4 Cube में 1:28.00, Skewb में 7.14 एवं Pyraminx में 7.00 के पहले आधिकारिक समय दर्ज किए। Neha Manojkumar Parmar ने चार स्पर्धाओं के साथ अपनी शुरुआत की और 2x2x2 Cube में 7.08, 3x3x3 Cube में 26.93 तथा 3x3x3 One-Handed में 1:13.30 के अपने पहले समय हासिल किए।

दो दिनों तक चली Synocubix Gandhinagar 2025 प्रतियोगिता ने सत्र के शुरुआती चरण में भारतीय स्पीडक्यूबिंग की गहराई और नई प्रतिभाओं की ऊर्जा को सामने रखा। गांधीनगर में खिलाड़ियों द्वारा विभिन्न क्यूब श्रेणियों में दिए गए संतुलित प्रदर्शन ने आने वाले दौर के बड़े आयोजनों के लिए एक मजबूत और प्रतिस्पर्धी आधार तैयार कर दिया है।
