Swedish Speedcubers Converge at Arena Satelliten for Stockholmsligan Tatu - Mamba 2025English
Inside Arena Satelliten, the steady clatter of rotating plastic and the rhythmic tap of hands hitting timing mats filled the spacious hall. A field of 36 competitors gathered in Sollentuna, Sweden, ready to test their preparation across six different disciplines. With the autumn speedcubing calendar reaching a crucial stretch, this single-day meeting presented an ideal opportunity for solvers to benchmark their form before the winter tournaments arrive. Every participant entered the venue knowing that each event featured only a single direct round, raising the stakes from the very first solve.
As an official WCA competition held on October 29, 2025, the gathering at Stockholmsligan Tatu - Mamba 2025 offered a concentrated schedule that demanded sharp focus. The classic Rubik's Cube brought 35 competitors to the stations, making it the largest event of the day. Daniel Wallin delivered an exceptional sequence of solves in the main event, capturing first place with a winning average of 8.49 seconds, anchored by a best single of 7.05 seconds. The 3x3 results saw Emil Alpsten claim the runner-up spot with an 8.95 average, while Erland Flodman secured third place with a mark of 9.38 seconds.
Wallin doubled his gold tally when the blindfolds were put on for the 3x3x3 Blindfolded event. The puzzle discipline requires complete memorisation before executing moves without sight, and Wallin posted the fastest single solve of the entire field at 28.82 seconds to take the top step of the podium. Emil Alpsten took second position with a successful attempt of 59.89 seconds, while Leo Johansson earned third place by stopping the timer at 1:25.12.
