United States Competitors Sweep All Eighteen Podiums at South Bend Scramble 2025English

Luke Garrett delivered an extraordinary display of speedcubing mastery in Indiana, capturing four individual titles and posting a lightning-fast 5.70 winning average in the main event. Across six varied events, competitors representing the United States claimed every single one of the eighteen available podium positions. The commanding showing highlighted a weekend of intense domestic talent at the Good Samaritan Event Center, where fifty-two cubers gathered on April 5, 2025, to contest eleven rounds of top-tier puzzle solving.

The 3x3x3 Cube final delivered dramatic 3x3 results as Garrett led the pack through three competitive rounds, sealing top honors with a tournament-best single solve of 4.09 seconds. Behind Garrett, Carter Thomas secured the runner-up spot with an average of 8.87 seconds, narrowly edging Nate Abeleda, who finished third with an average of 8.89 seconds. The traditional Rubik's Cube contest proved to be the centerpiece of the gathering, anchoring an action-packed schedule in South Bend, Indiana, USA.

Garrett extended his dominance beyond the two-handed puzzle, capturing the 3x3x3 One-Handed crown with a 9.78 winning average and an impressive 7.94 single solve across a single fast-paced round of thirty-seven entrants. Nathaniel Gee earned second place with a mark of 13.71 seconds, while Nate Abeleda returned to the podium in third place with a 14.24 average. The discipline requires extraordinary manual dexterity, and Garrett stood out as the only competitor to break the ten-second barrier on the day.

In the 4x4x4 Cube, Carter Thomas turned the tables to claim a hard-fought victory over Garrett across two rounds. Thomas registered a winning average of 28.57 seconds, bolstered by the weekend's best single of 24.64 seconds, edging Garrett's second-place average of 28.63 seconds by six hundredths of a second.
