With ten separate puzzle disciplines packed into fourteen total rounds, every advancement required absolute consistency. The flagship event set the tone for the entire gathering as 39 contenders battled through three full rounds in the classic Rubik's Cube. Denzel A. J. Wahyudi continued his strong form by securing a double championship over the weekend. In the 2x2x2 Cube, which drew 35 entrants through two competitive rounds, Wahyudi posted a sharp 2.76 winning average alongside a best single of 1.77 to top the standings. The contest also saw a series of official results and marks registered by solvers throughout the rounds, including a 1.89 single by Nauval Al Ghifari and steady marks from peers across the bracket. In the 3x3x3 One-Handed event, Darren Johan turned the tables to seize first place after two demanding rounds featuring 25 solvers. Johan posted a winning average of 13.89 seconds and a single of 12.54 to narrowly edge out Denzel A. J. Wahyudi, who took the runner-up spot with an average of 13.96 seconds. Sadriansyah secured third place on the podium with a 15.21 average. The one-handed discipline remains one of the purest tests of fingertrick efficiency, making the narrow margin at the top of the table one of the most thrilling finishes of this WCA competition.

Away from the top of the podiums, the weekend saw remarkable individual progress across the board. Nauval Al Ghifari took on eight separate events and delivered massive personal bests, cutting his Square-1 mark to 16.97 seconds, which was 56.5 percent faster than his previous best of 38.99, alongside a 2x2x2 Cube personal best of 1.89 seconds that was 22.5 percent faster, a 4x4x4 Cube personal best of 46.19 seconds, and a 5th place finish in Pyraminx. Rendra Yuswandana contested three events, finishing 8th in 3x3x3 Cube while dropping his 2x2x2 Cube single to 3.53 seconds for a 41.8 percent improvement, his 3x3x3 Cube mark to 5.90 seconds for a 40.5 percent improvement, and his 3x3x3 One-Handed time to 14.25 seconds, which was 25 percent faster. Gregory Anggito Damarjati took on nine events, logging his first ever attempts at Square-1 with a 34.91, Clock with a 14.79, and 3x3x3 Blindfolded with a 5:53.19, finishing 6th in the blindfold event.

Other dedicated solvers pushed their boundaries further during Solo Lur 2025. Muhammad Nizam Dewantoro Kusumonegoro tackled four events, recording his first ever attempt at Pyraminx with a 10.30, a Square-1 personal best of 22.69 seconds that was 3.7 percent faster to finish 8th, and a 2x2x2 Cube personal best of 4.73 seconds, which improved by 14.3 percent. Jaka Nur Fuad took 6th in 3x3x3 One-Handed with a personal best of 14.01 seconds, improving by 3.8 percent, and dropped his 3x3x3 Cube single by 6 percent to 9.67 seconds. Banyu Biru improved his 3x3x3 Cube single to 19.66 seconds, making it 14.9 percent faster. Maqshum achieved a personal best single of 9.39 seconds in 3x3x3 Cube and placed 6th in Pyraminx across four events, while Simon Simangunsong earned 8th place in 3x3x3 One-Handed.

The medium and big cubes presented heavy tests of spatial management and endurance. Zaky Kurnia Falah dominated the 4x4x4 Cube, posting a winning average of 35.22 seconds and a single of 33.16 to defeat Muhammad Zhafran Al-Allam, who averaged 36.05 seconds, and Sadriansyah in third at 42.57 seconds. Falah also captured top honours in Skewb with a winning average of 4.17 seconds, edging Fayad Hafiz Attaqi at 4.22 seconds and Hafizh Dary Faridhan Hudoyo at 4.27 seconds. In the 5x5x5 Cube, Muhammad Zhafran Al-Allam took the victory with a 1:11.84 average and a 1:01.80 single, leading Roikhan Azhari and Fayad Hafiz Attaqi across the single-round showdown.

Side events tested an entirely different set of technical abilities, requiring unique dexterity and cognitive control. In Pyraminx, Bryan Frank swept through a 21-competitor field with a winning average of 2.69 seconds, ahead of Hopi Fattan Prabasukma at 3.53 and Mark Louis Tan at 4.41. Square-1 saw Hezekiah Jaden Susanto take first place with an 8.50 average, well clear of Vie'an Huzair Majalawa and Elliott Yahya Sugondo. Gabriel Aiden Michael won Clock with a 6.70 average, while Elliott Yahya Sugondo secured the 3x3x3 Blindfolded crown with a best single of 2:29.71, outperforming Mark Louis Tan and Ahmad Fauzi Wibowo.

All thirty podium places across the weekend were claimed by competitors representing Indonesia, highlighting the concentration of regional skill at the venue. Ajang bergengsi Solo Lur 2025 yang berlangsung pada 26 hingga 27 April 2025 di Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia ini menyajikan dinamika kompetisi yang sangat beragam. Di dunia speedcubing, cabang analisis mendalam seperti Fewest Moves selalu menghadirkan kontras menarik dengan perlombaan kecepatan murni, di mana ketenangan di atas kertas berbanding terbalik dengan ketegangan adu cepat putaran jari.

Kompetisi rubik tingkat nasional yang berada di bawah naungan World Cube Association ini memperlihatkan keahlian tinggi para peserta dalam menyelesaikan rubik dengan efisiensi maksimal. Pada nomor utama 3x3x3 Cube, Denzel A. J. Wahyudi tampil impresif dengan meraih posisi pertama lewat rata-rata 8.38 detik dan single terbaik 7.09 detik dari total 39 peserta dalam 3 babak. Posisi kedua direbut oleh Darren Johan dengan rata-rata 8.63 detik, disusul oleh Sadriansyah di peringkat ketiga dengan rata-rata 9.15 detik. Kemenangan ini menegaskan kepiawaian Denzel A. J. Wahyudi di panggung utama kompetisi cubing competition bergengsi ini.

Denzel A. J. Wahyudi melengkapi prestasinya dengan merebut gelar juara 2x2x2 Cube lewat rata-rata 2.76 detik dan single terbaik 1.77 detik. Sementara itu, Darren Johan berjaya di cabang 3x3x3 One-Handed dengan rata-rata 13.89 detik setelah bersaing ketat melawan Denzel A. J. Wahyudi yang mencatatkan rata-rata 13.96 detik serta Sadriansyah dengan 15.21 detik. Pada nomor 4x4x4 Cube, Zaky Kurnia Falah meraih kemenangan dengan rata-rata 35.22 detik, mengungguli Muhammad Zhafran Al-Allam di posisi kedua dengan 36.05 detik dan Sadriansyah di posisi ketiga dengan 42.57 detik.

Zaky Kurnia Falah kembali menunjukkan dominasinya di cabang Skewb dengan mencatat rata-rata 4.17 detik untuk mengamankan podium teratas Solo Lur 2025, finis tipis di depan Fayad Hafiz Attaqi yang meraih 4.22 detik dan Hafizh Dary Faridhan Hudoyo dengan 4.27 detik. Pada nomor 5x5x5 Cube, Muhammad Zhafran Al-Allam menjadi yang tercepat dengan catatan rata-rata 1:11.84, diikuti Roikhan Azhari dengan 1:16.92 dan Fayad Hafiz Attaqi dengan 1:19.45. Di nomor Square-1, Hezekiah Jaden Susanto (叶奇安) tampil dominan mencatat rata-rata kemenangan 8.50 detik.

Di balik daftar perolehan medali, panggung Solo Lur 2025 juga mencatatkan berbagai pencapaian penting bagi para peserta. Arfian Dwiki Rosyadi mencetak kemajuan luar biasa dengan memangkas catatan personal best pada nomor 5x5x5 Cube menjadi 2:05.14, atau 30.6 persen lebih cepat dari rekor sebelumnya 3:00.37, selain mengamankan posisi ke-5 pada 3x3x3 Blindfolded. Chesta A. F. Rosyadi menyelesaikan 4 cabang dan menorehkan personal best 1:43.58 di 5x5x5 Cube dengan finis terbaik di posisi ke-8. Frederick Rahmanto menuntaskan 7 cabang dengan finis terbaik di posisi ke-5 pada nomor utama 3x3x3 Cube, sementara Akmal Isyam Huda yang turun di 7 cabang berhasil menempati posisi ke-4 pada Skewb.

Ajang ini juga menjadi debut pertama di tingkat WCA bagi sejumlah nama berbakat. Noble Nirvana Subardi menjalani kompetisi resmi perdananya dengan turun di 4 cabang, mencatatkan percobaan pertama 18.22 detik di Skewb, 50.90 detik di 3x3x3 Cube, serta 23.09 detik di Pyraminx dengan finis terbaik ke-19 pada Skewb. Richard Ongkomihardjo mengawali kiprahnya dengan mencetak 15.12 detik di 3x3x3 Cube, 33.31 detik di 3x3x3 One-Handed, dan 5.12 detik di 2x2x2 Cube. Paulo Alden melakoni percobaan pertamanya dengan torehan 17.90 detik di 3x3x3 Cube, 39.38 detik di 3x3x3 One-Handed, dan 6.59 detik di 2x2x2 Cube. Dari Finlandia, Jade Suzuki melangkah di ajang perdananya dengan mencatat 27.87 detik di 3x3x3 Cube, 10.17 detik di 2x2x2 Cube, serta 15.39 detik di Pyraminx.

Perlombaan cabang khusus lainnya turut menyuguhkan ketelitian tingkat tinggi di panggung Surakarta. Bryan Frank menguasai cabang Pyraminx dengan membukukan rata-rata kemenangan 2.69 detik, menungguli Hopi Fattan Prabasukma dengan 3.53 detik dan Mark Louis Tan (陈小龙) dengan 4.41 detik. Gabriel Aiden Michael memenangi Clock lewat rata-rata 6.70 detik. Pada nomor 3x3x3 Blindfolded, Elliott Yahya Sugondo mengunci kemenangan dengan single 2:29.71, unggul atas Mark Louis Tan (陈小龙) dengan 2:33.28 dan Ahmad Fauzi Wibowo dengan 2:42.33.

Penyelenggaraan kompetisi tahun 2025 ini secara keseluruhan menunjukkan penguasaan menyeluruh atlet tuan rumah dengan raihan 30 posisi podium untuk kontingen Indonesia. Seluruh rangkaian pertandingan di Solo Lur 2025 membuktikan tingginya dedikasi dan kesiapan mental para peserta dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan mekanik dan waktu.
