Ng Yong Teng delivered the standout performance of Singapore AMK CC Cubing B 2023 on June 4, 2023, capturing the main event title with a blistering 7.60 final average. Held at the Ang Mo Kio Community Centre in Singapore, Singapore, the single-day speedcubing gathering brought together 118 competitors across six different disciplines. Ng set the standard in the classic puzzle with a best single solve of 6.38, holding off a packed bracket across three rigorous rounds of play to take top honours in the city-state.

The 3x3 results at the top of the standings reflected intense competition throughout the 114-entrant field. Deng Zhengping claimed the runner-up position with an 8.52 average, while Isaac Wong Chang Man secured third place with an average of 8.96. In rounds where every mistake counts against the clock, consistency proved vital to staying ahead of the chase pack. The headline Rubik's Cube division showcased the exact discipline required to navigate through preliminary heats and reach the ultimate podium at this prestigious WCA competition.

Isaac Wong Chang Man emerged as one of the defining figures of the weekend by taking victories across two separate formats. In the 4x4x4 Cube, Wong recorded a winning average of 26.55 and a single of 25.01, outpacing Lee Yu Zhe who finished in 31.64 and Ng Yong Teng who clocked 33.28. Wong followed that triumph with another gold medal in the 2x2x2 Cube, recording a winning average of 2.74 and a best single of 1.63 across two rounds, besting Desmond Low Kai Sheng and Hoo Jun Hao.

Single-handed mastery took centre stage in the 3x3x3 One-Handed event, where Ryan Peh (白凯明) produced a decisive victory. Peh posted an outstanding winning average of 11.64 alongside the round best single of 10.43. Isaac Wong Chang Man collected another podium by finishing second with a 13.25 mark, while Lee Yu Zhe took third place with a 14.20 average. The discipline requires extreme dexterity, where a momentary slip or hesitation carries a heavy cost in the final times.

The side events featured equally sharp competition from international and local entrants alike. In the Pyraminx, Dylan Seah Tze Siang (谢智翔) took the crown with a 3.44 average, narrowly edging Desmond Low Kai Sheng who finished on 3.63, while Ban Hsien Yang finished third on 4.53. Skewb action belonged to Mohamad Adrian Syahirin Bin Mohd Faizal, who logged a 3.92 average to win over Reuel Franz Ramirez Magracia (刘埃尔) at 4.33 and Desmond Low Kai Sheng at 4.42, demonstrating exceptional speed cubing fundamentals.

Beneath the top podium finishes, numerous competitors logged significant milestones away from the spotlight. Kyler Wu Kai Shun tackled six events, achieving a 76 percent drop in Skewb with a personal best of 4.11, while also logging a first attempt at 3x3x3 One-Handed with 48.67 and a first 2x2x2 Cube solve of 3.57. Siddharth Saravana Priyan registered a 4.95 Skewb personal best, 68.1 percent faster than before, alongside a 4.41 Pyraminx personal best. Wan Jian Lun dropped his 4x4x4 Cube personal best by 38.7 percent to 53.20, and Teh Ying Fei Avia cut 26 percent off her 3x3x3 Cube time to 10.90.

With multi-event standouts and dozens of individual personal bests across the board, Singapore AMK CC Cubing B 2023 delivered a memorable day of racing for the entire local cubing competition community.
