Shri Ram Cubing Challenge 2026

The tables at the Shri Ram College of Commerce were filled with turning plastic, ticking timers, and focused intensity across the weekend of March 28 and March 29. Competitors from across the country converged in New Delhi, Delhi, India, bringing energy to the hall from the earliest rounds to the final solves. With 102 competitors contesting 20 rounds across 11 different events, the stage was set for high-velocity speedcubing across every standard puzzle format. The atmosphere carried the signature rhythm of a major WCA competition, buzzing through two days of non-stop action in 2026.

The fast-paced events took center stage right away, led by blistering turns in the 3x3x3 Cube. Viraj Dhameja delivered the weekend headline performance, navigating three rounds among 99 competitors to claim the championship. Dhameja secured victory with a 6.49 winning average and delivered a best single of 6.30 in the final stage of the classic Rubik's Cube. Kunal Oak finished in second place with an average of 7.61, while Aditya Bareja took third on the podium with an 8.17 mark, capping off thrilling 3x3 results.

The 2x2x2 Cube proved just as fierce, demanding instant recognition and flawless execution. Divye Kumar took the title among 83 entrants, logging a winning average of 2.50 alongside a best single of 2.08 over two rounds. The battle for the top spot was decided by mere hundredths of a second, as Ojas Nimaje took second place with a 2.53 average. Shivam Bansal rounded out the podium in third with a 2.76 average, concluding one of the tightest speed cubing contests of the entire weekend.

Beyond the sprint formats, Aditya Bareja captured the 4x4x4 Cube crown with a 26.48 average after three rounds, having posted a rapid single of 23.21. Kunal Oak earned second place with 29.06, and Kaarnik Jain took third with 33.22. Oak returned to dominate the biggest puzzles, sweeping both the 6x6x6 Cube and 7x7x7 Cube events. In the 6x6x6, Oak won with a 1:26.82 average, ahead of Bareja at 1:34.84 and Sukant Koul at 1:57.86. Oak then topped the 7x7x7 field with a 2:11.53 average, where Bareja again placed second in 2:39.79 and Koul took third in 2:54.35.

Veenayak Bhola enjoyed a double victory in the side events, capturing both the Pyraminx and Skewb competitions. Bhola took the Pyraminx title with an average of 2.37, finishing ahead of Sidhan Keswani at 3.82 and Ayaan Kapur at 4.19. In Skewb, Bhola won with a 3.86 average. Meanwhile, Fouzan Zayn prevailed in 3x3x3 One-Handed with an 11.06 average, and Arghy Shravast won Megaminx with a 40.91 average. In blindfolded solving, which demands complete memorisation before executing turns without sight, Sukant Koul secured two victories, taking the 3x3x3 Blindfolded with a 24.46 average and the 4x4x4 Blindfolded title with a 2:33.35 single.

Away from the podium battles, several competitors achieved remarkable milestones across the schedule at the Shri Ram Cubing Challenge 2026. Advait Saaksh made a massive jump in the 3x3x3 Cube, posting a personal best of 22.50 that improved upon a prior mark of 53.16 by 57.7 percent, while also completing a first ever attempt in the 2x2x2 Cube with a 7.94 single. Jai Mahajan took on 6 events and delivered huge gains, slicing 58 percent off his Skewb personal best with a 15.01, dropping his 3x3x3 One-Handed mark by 46.6 percent to 54.38, and cutting his Pyraminx best down to 9.89.

The progress continued with Krishaang Phogat, who entered 4 events and dropped his 4x4x4 Cube personal best by 37.9 percent down to 1:09.80, while also posting his first official attempts in 3x3x3 One-Handed at 24.97 and 3x3x3 Blindfolded at 4:26.14, where he placed 10th. Devansh Gupta tackled 4 events, setting a personal best of 5.28 in the 2x2x2 Cube, alongside maiden official solves in the 4x4x4 Cube at 1:51.72 and 3x3x3 One-Handed at 50.23. Aarush Sharan took on 9 events, logging first attempts in Megaminx at 1:26.95, 7x7x7 Cube at 3:39.61, and 6x6x6 Cube at 2:28.76, finishing 7th in 7x7x7. Aryan Bhardwaj entered 10 events, finishing 7th in the 4x4x4 Cube while recording first attempts in Skewb at 8.85, Megaminx at 1:59.63, and 3x3x3 Blindfolded at 10:52.00.

The Shri Ram Cubing Challenge 2026 closed with all 33 podium places earned by competitors representing India across the 11 disciplines. From the blistering sprints in the short-format puzzles to the endurance required in the large cubes and blindfolded disciplines, the cubing competition delivered memorable highlights throughout both days of play in New Delhi. Competitors now look forward to carrying their progress into the next season of tournament play.

मुख्य 3x3x3 क्यूब स्पर्धा में Viraj Dhameja ने बेहतरीन खेल का प्रदर्शन करते हुए पहला स्थान हासिल किया। तीन राउंड तक चले इस कड़े मुकाबले में 99 प्रतिभागियों ने हिस्सा लिया था। Viraj Dhameja ने फाइनल में 6.49 सेकंड का औसत और 6.30 सेकंड का सर्वश्रेष्ठ सिंगल दर्ज करके खिताबी जीत हासिल की। उनके बाद Kunal Oak ने 7.61 सेकंड के औसत के साथ दूसरा स्थान पाया, जबकि Aditya Bareja ने 8.17 सेकंड के औसत के साथ तीसरा स्थान अपने नाम किया।

Kunal Oak ने बड़े क्यूब्स में अपना दबदबा साबित करते हुए दोहरी जीत दर्ज की। 6x6x6 क्यूब स्पर्धा में उन्होंने 1:26.82 के औसत और 1:20.40 के सिंगल के साथ पहला स्थान प्राप्त किया, जिसमें Aditya Bareja दूसरे और Sukant Koul तीसरे स्थान पर रहे। इसके बाद 7x7x7 क्यूब में भी Kunal Oak ने 2:11.53 के विजयी औसत और 2:06.28 के सिंगल के साथ शीर्ष स्थान हासिल किया। यहां भी Aditya Bareja 2:39.79 के साथ दूसरे तथा Sukant Koul 2:54.35 के साथ तीसरे पायदान पर रहे।

Aditya Bareja ने 4x4x4 क्यूब स्पर्धा में शानदार वापसी की और 26.48 सेकंड के औसत व 23.21 के सिंगल के साथ जीत दर्ज की। इस स्पर्धा में Kunal Oak 29.06 सेकंड के औसत से दूसरे स्थान पर रहे और Kaarnik Jain ने 33.22 के साथ तीसरा स्थान पाया। वहीं 3x3x3 वन-हैंडेड स्पर्धा में Fouzan Zayn ने 48 प्रतियोगियों के बीच 11.06 सेकंड के औसत और 9.80 के सिंगल के साथ पहला स्थान अपने नाम किया।

ब्लाइंडफोल्डेड स्पर्धाओं में Sukant Koul ने अपनी असाधारण स्मरण शक्ति का परिचय दिया। उन्होंने 3x3x3 ब्लाइंडफोल्डेड में 24.46 सेकंड का शानदार औसत और 20.63 का सिंगल निकालकर खिताबी जीत हासिल की। उनके पीछे Shivam Bansal 27.24 और Hamza Zaidi 59.24 के साथ पोडियम पर रहे। इसके अलावा 4x4x4 ब्लाइंडफोल्डेड में Sukant Koul ने 2:33.35 के सिंगल समय के साथ पहला स्थान हासिल किया, जहां Shivam Bansal दूसरे और Saiyam Jain तीसरे स्थान पर रहे।

इस WCA प्रतियोगिता के मुख्य परिणामों से अलग कई खिलाड़ियों ने अपने व्यक्तिगत रिकॉर्ड में बहुत बड़ा सुधार किया। Adyansh Gupta ने दो स्पर्धाओं में भाग लिया और 3x3x3 क्यूब में 16.09 सेकंड का नया व्यक्तिगत सर्वश्रेष्ठ समय दिया, जो उनके पिछले 32.68 के समय से 50.8 प्रतिशत तेज था। उन्होंने 2x2x2 में भी 5.67 सेकंड दर्ज किया जो 27.5 प्रतिशत का सुधार था। Ameya Barun ने सात स्पर्धाओं में हिस्सा लिया और मेगामिंक्स में 1:45.22 का समय दिया, जो उनके पिछले 3:10.72 के समय से 44.8 प्रतिशत बेहतर था। उन्होंने वन-हैंडेड में 17.43 (16.2 प्रतिशत सुधार) और पिरामिंक्स में 2.96 सेकंड दर्ज किया।

उत्साही खिलाड़ियों का यह शानदार प्रदर्शन अन्य स्पर्धाओं में भी जारी रहा। Atulya Kakar ने छह स्पर्धाओं में भाग लेते हुए स्क्यूब में 4.43 सेकंड का नया व्यक्तिगत सर्वश्रेष्ठ बनाया, जो पिछले 7.94 से 44.2 प्रतिशत तेज था। उन्होंने 2x2x2 में 3.36 और 4x4x4 में 1:02.77 दर्ज किया। Tanish Verma ने पहली बार आधिकारिक रूप से पिरामिंक्स में 11.78 का समय दर्ज किया और 3x3x3 में 12.88 सेकंड दिया जो 29.5 प्रतिशत बेहतर था। Sarthak Ingle ने पहली बार वन-हैंडेड में 53.77 दर्ज किया और पिरामिंक्स में 14.74 तथा 2x2x2 में 5.89 का समय दिया। Abhipsa Hazra ने पहली बार 4x4x4 में 53.00 का समय निकाला और स्क्यूब में 12.88 का सुधार किया।

अन्य श्रेणियों में Veenayak Bhola का प्रदर्शन लाजवाब रहा, जिन्होंने पिरामिंक्स में 2.37 सेकंड के औसत और स्क्यूब में 3.86 सेकंड के औसत के साथ दोहरी खिताबी सफलता पाई। 2x2x2 क्यूब स्पर्धा में Divye Kumar ने 2.50 सेकंड के औसत के साथ पहला स्थान जीता, जहां Ojas Nimaje 2.53 के साथ दूसरे और Shivam Bansal 2.76 के साथ तीसरे स्थान पर रहे। मेगामिंक्स में Arghy Shravast ने 40.91 के औसत के साथ जीत हासिल की। Shri Ram Cubing Challenge 2026 में भारतीय खिलाड़ियों ने सभी 33 पोडियम स्थानों पर कब्जा जमाकर प्रतियोगिता का सफल समापन किया।
