The 3x3x3 One-Handed division brought another masterclass from Zhen Chen (陈震). Facing a field of 72 competitors over two rounds, Chen secured first place with a winning average of 7.29 seconds and recorded the fastest single solve of the event at 6.49 seconds. Tao Wen (温韬) took the second step on the podium with an average of 10.01 seconds, while Yiheng Wang (王艺衡) earned third place with an 11.07 mark to pick up his third podium finish of the meet.

In the specialty side events, Kaixi Guo (郭铠希) enjoyed an undefeated campaign by capturing both the Pyraminx and Skewb crowns. In Pyraminx, Guo topped a field of 55 competitors across two rounds with a 1.93 winning average and a 1.84 best single, leading Yening Liu (刘烨宁) in second at 2.20 and Ziheng Feng (冯梓恒) in third at 2.56. Guo then conquered Skewb against 41 competitors, winning with a 2.09 average and a 1.29 single, ahead of Liu at 2.70 and Qi Zhou (周祺) at 3.06.

Beyond the championship podiums, the official scorecards hide tremendous personal milestones from dedicated competitors across the floor. Jialei Zhang (张家磊) produced one of the most stunning leaps of the day in the 3x3x3 Cube, posting a personal best average of 7.80 seconds to cut 66.5 percent off a previous best of 23.28. Other competitors marked Shanghai Summer 2026 by taking on new puzzles for the very first time. Jiacheng Dong (董嘉铖) recorded a 7.21 in his first ever attempt at Skewb while shaving 30.8 percent off his 3x3x3 Cube best with a 17.18 and improving his 2x2x2 Cube best to 4.83, 29.1 percent faster. Clay Zhu Haomin (朱浩民) entered five events, logging a 14.43 in a first attempt at the 3x3x3 Cube, a 25.02 in a first attempt at 3x3x3 One-Handed, and a Skewb personal best of 4.85, 16.4 percent faster. Zheng Xing (邢铮) notched an 8.02 in a first attempt at Pyraminx and posted a 3x3x3 Cube personal best of 21.13, 24.4 percent faster.
