Pucallpa al Cubo 2025 Delivers Intense Action Across Twelve Fast Rounds in PeruEnglish

Twelve rounds of head-to-head solving across eight distinct events set the tempo on December 7, 2025, as 30 competitors gathered in Pucallpa, Peru. Staged at the Real Plaza Pucallpa venue, the one-day WCA competition required sharp focus from the outset. With several events structured as single-round finals and only the most popular puzzles granting multi-round cut progressions, every attempt carried high stakes. Solvers had to balance speed and accuracy across a dynamic schedule that tested standard three-by-three skills alongside complex specialty puzzles.

The flagship 3x3x3 Cube contest featured the most extensive format of the gathering, filtering a 27-competitor field through three rigorous stages. Diego Joel Urquia Paredes of Peru rose to the top of the 3x3 results by posting a winning average of 10.49 seconds in the final, bolstered by a competition-best single solve of 8.76 seconds. Fellow Peruvian Jhonatan Reategui claimed the runner-up spot with a 10.77 average, while Jems Breysner Saromo Soto took third place with an 11.56 mark to complete an all-Peruvian podium in the classic speedcubing discipline.

Beyond his runner-up finish in the traditional Rubik's Cube, Jhonatan Reategui dominated the single-round formats with a pair of victories. In 4x4x4 Cube, which featured nine competitors, Reategui captured first place with an average of 45.77 seconds and a fast single of 42.12 seconds, finishing ahead of Gabriel Hübner at 55.69 and Jesús Adriano Aguilar Nolorbe at 57.21.
