Thirty competitors arrived at Gibson Park Community Centre on April 21, 2026, creating a sharp and compact field across sixteen separate events at Perth Favourites Evening 2026. Every single round carried immediate elimination pressure, requiring peak form on the opening solve. With only a single round scheduled per event, contestants had no preliminary stages to adjust their nerves. Speedcubing in Perth, Western Australia, Australia demanded pure precision, as thirty entrants battled for top placements across a wide selection of puzzles ranging from standard Rubik's Cube trials to complex big-cube tests.
The 3x3x3 Cube contest delivered exceptional 3x3 results from a competitive thirteen-person field. France's Antoine Quemerais also left an impression in the group, recording an 8.73 average and a 6.79 single in the fast-paced opening round.
