The open concourse of City Centre Mall was filled with the rhythmic click and snap of turning mechanisms as tables filled with an eclectic mix of twirling shapes. From standard cubes to multifaceted dodecahedrons and triangular pyramids, competitors gathered for two days of intense manipulation on April 26 and April 27. The Patna Cube Challenge 2025 brought an expansive lineup of ten distinct disciplines to the floor in Patna, Bihar, India, giving local speed cubing enthusiasts a complete showcase of mechanical puzzle solving.

Across 16 rounds of action, 36 competitors pushed their dexterity across every possible format on the official roster. The schedule offered a full journey through classic Rubik's Cube solving, multi-layered big cubes, flat-faced novelties, and non-cubic geometry. It stood as a premier cubing competition for the region in 2025, challenging solvers to pivot instantly between the rapid finger-tricks of short sprints and the deep forward planning required for complex, multi-layered puzzles.

Hitesh Kumar Bhuwalka emerged as the dominant force across this wide spectrum, capturing first place in seven different categories. In the flagship 3x3x3 Cube, Bhuwalka secured victory over a field of 34 competitors across two rounds, delivering a winning average of 8.91 seconds alongside a best single of 8.12. Kaarnik Jain took second place with a 10.04 average, while Spondon Nath claimed third with a 10.97 average, cementing top-tier 3x3 results for the weekend.

The big cube events saw Bhuwalka extend his mastery through rigorous, multi-layered turn sequences. He secured the 4x4x4 Cube title with a 34.62 winning average and a 30.00 single, leading Kaarnik Jain who finished on 40.11 and Dev Sharma who took third on 40.24. Bhuwalka also swept the 5x5x5 Cube with a 48.79 mark ahead of Jain and Yuvraj Agarwal, and completed the large-cube sweep by conquering the 6x6x6 Cube in 1:25.55, far ahead of Jain on 2:57.84 and Agarwal on 3:53.52.

Beyond cubic puzzles, the weekend highlighted the mechanical variety that makes speedcubing so compelling. Bhuwalka added titles in 3x3x3 One-Handed with a 15.51 average, Skewb with a 5.36 average, and the twelve-sided Megaminx, which he won in 1:05.60 over Sourayan Chanda at 1:06.82. However, other specialists made their presence felt on the alternate podiums. Aditya Dey topped the Clock event with a 9.22 average, edging Bhuwalka at 9.30 and Chanda at 9.69 in a razor-thin final round.

Away from the top steps of the podium, several competitors logged monumental breakthroughs across diverse events. Souptik Ganguly entered seven disciplines, earning a 4th place finish in Skewb while taking on a first ever attempt at 3x3x3 One-Handed with a 38.14 single. Ganguly also reduced their Pyraminx personal best to 4.55 seconds, which was 47.3 percent faster than before, and lowered their 3x3x3 Cube mark to 13.37, a 39 percent improvement. Arush Kumar made huge gains in the 2x2x2 Cube, cutting their personal best to 10.98 seconds, which was 47.3 percent faster than their previous best. Kabir Ahmad set a personal best of 55.11 in the 3x3x3 Cube across two events entered. Sparsh Pathak tackled all 10 events, taking 4th in the 6x6x6 Cube, logging a first ever Clock attempt of 12.16, and lowering their Pyraminx personal best by 9.7 percent to 3.25.

Other solvers made significant strides as they expanded their competition experience. Priyanshu Raj took on five events and secured an 11th place finish in the 3x3x3 Cube. Three solvers navigated their first WCA competition with impressive breadth. Md Faraaz entered six events, reaching 8th place in the 3x3x3 Cube while logging first career attempts in Pyraminx at 15.31, Skewb at 14.66, and 2x2x2 Cube at 4.88. Utkarsh Singh took on four events, earning an 8th place finish in Skewb while posting maiden marks in the 2x2x2 Cube at 8.83, Skewb at 12.34, and Pyraminx at 15.53. Parth Arora also debuted across four events, completing initial attempts in Pyraminx at 38.64, 2x2x2 Cube at 21.23, and Skewb at 30.11.

The sprint categories rounded out the competition schedule with rapid-fire finals. Sourayan Chanda captured two prestigious victories, winning the 2x2x2 Cube with a 3.01 average ahead of Yuvraj Agarwal at 3.47 and Bhuwalka at 3.68. Chanda also seized first place in Pyraminx, logging a winning average of 2.93 and a best single of 2.58 across two rounds of play.

By the time the final timers were packed away, all 30 podium places across the ten events went to representatives from India, reflecting strong local talent across every puzzle type. The Patna Cube Challenge 2025 demonstrated the immense scope of competitive puzzle solving, celebrating both seasoned multi-event champions and emerging solvers reaching their own milestones on the competition stage.

पटना के सिटी सेंटर मॉल में आयोजित हुए स्पीडक्यूबिंग टूर्नामेंट में सबसे कड़ा और नजदीकी मुकाबला क्लॉक इवेंट के फाइनल में देखने को मिला। केवल दशमलव के कुछ हिस्सों के अंतर ने शीर्ष तीन स्थानों का फैसला तय कर दिया। इस स्पर्धा में Aditya Dey ने 9.22 सेकेंड के औसत समय के साथ पहला स्थान हासिल किया, जबकि Hitesh Kumar Bhuwalka मात्र 0.08 सेकेंड के मामूली अंतर से 9.30 सेकेंड का औसत दर्ज कर दूसरे स्थान पर रहे। Sourayan Chanda (সৌরায়ন চন্দ) ने 9.69 सेकेंड के औसत के साथ तीसरा स्थान पाया और पूरा पोडियम एक सेकंड से भी कम के फासले में सिमट गया।

Patna Cube Challenge 2025 का यह आयोजन 26 और 27 अप्रैल 2025 को संपन्न हुआ, जिसमें देश भर के 36 प्रतिभागियों ने 10 अलग-अलग स्पर्धाओं के 16 राउंड्स में अपनी गति और कौशल का प्रदर्शन किया। World Cube Association के नियमों के तहत आयोजित इस रूबिक्स क्यूब प्रतियोगिता में कई श्रेणियों में असाधारण प्रदर्शन देखने को मिला। पटना, बिहार में हुए इस दो दिवसीय टूर्नामेंट में विभिन्न आकारों और पहेलियों के बीच कड़ी प्रतिस्पर्धा रही, जिसमें खिलाड़ियों ने बेहद सधे हुए हाथों से नए कीर्तिमान स्थापित किए।

मुख्य 3x3x3 Cube स्पर्धा में Hitesh Kumar Bhuwalka का दबदबा स्पष्ट रूप से नजर आया। 34 प्रतिस्पर्धियों के बीच दो राउंड के बाद उन्होंने 8.91 सेकेंड का विजयी औसत निकालकर पहला स्थान प्राप्त किया। इस वर्ग में उनका सर्वश्रेष्ठ एकल प्रयास 8.12 सेकेंड का रहा। उनके पीछे Kaarnik Jain ने 10.04 सेकेंड के औसत के साथ रजत पदक हासिल किया, जबकि Spondon Nath ने 10.97 सेकेंड के औसत समय के साथ तीसरा स्थान अर्जित किया। इस परिणाम ने पूरे सप्ताहांत में शीर्ष खिलाड़ियों के बीच के कड़े मुकाबले को रेखांकित किया।

छोटे क्यूब्स और अन्य पहेलियों में Sourayan Chanda (সৌরায়ন চন্দ) ने बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने 2x2x2 Cube वर्ग में 17 प्रतिभागियों के बीच 3.01 सेकेंड के औसत के साथ पहला स्थान जीता, जिसमें उनका सर्वश्रेष्ठ एकल प्रयास 2.57 सेकेंड था। इस वर्ग में Yuvraj Agarwal 3.47 के औसत से दूसरे और Hitesh Kumar Bhuwalka 3.68 के साथ तीसरे स्थान पर रहे। Pyraminx स्पर्धा में भी Sourayan Chanda (সৌরায়ন চন্দ) ने 2.93 सेकेंड के औसत और 2.58 के बेहतरीन एकल प्रयास के दम पर जीत दर्ज की।

Patna Cube Challenge 2025 में परिणामों की औपचारिक तालिका से अलग नए खिलाड़ियों की उल्लेखनीय उपस्थिति और उनके व्यक्तिगत प्रयास भी देखने को मिले। Prabuddh Abhishakti ने अपनी पहली WCA प्रतियोगिता में 3 स्पर्धाओं में हिस्सा लिया और 2x2x2 Cube में 8.00 का पहला प्रयास दर्ज करने के साथ Pyraminx में 21.63 और 3x3x3 Cube में 1:05.31 का समय निकाला। Virat Sridhar ने भी अपनी पहली प्रतियोगिता में 3 स्पर्धाएं चुनीं, जहां 2x2x2 Cube में 12वां स्थान हासिल करते हुए 6.74 का प्रयास किया, साथ ही Pyraminx में 17.62 और 3x3x3 Cube में 51.78 का समय दर्ज किया। Md Fuzail ने 3 स्पर्धाओं में उतरकर Skewb में छठा स्थान पाया और 10.60 का पहला प्रयास देने के अलावा 2x2x2 Cube में 5.79 और 3x3x3 Cube में 20.42 का समय हासिल किया। Kimaya Srivastwa ने 2 स्पर्धाओं में भाग लिया और 5x5x5 Cube में छठा स्थान हासिल करते हुए 4:47.37 का प्रयास किया, जबकि Megaminx में उनका पहला प्रयास 2:51.45 रहा।

इसी तरह अन्य नए प्रतिस्पर्धियों ने भी मंच पर अपनी छाप छोड़ी। Sunny Kumar Sah ने पहली बार मंच साझा करते हुए 2 स्पर्धाओं में भाग लिया और Pyraminx में 43.41 तथा 3x3x3 Cube में 1:28.04 का समय दर्ज किया। Lokesh Shyam Shivam ने 2 स्पर्धाओं में उतरकर 3x3x3 Cube में 1:08.37 और Pyraminx में 32.49 का पहला आधिकारिक प्रयास पूरा किया। Akshat Kumar ने 3x3x3 Cube स्पर्धा में कदम रखते हुए 50.64 का समय दर्ज किया, जबकि Shareha Ahsan ने भी 3x3x3 Cube में अपनी शुरुआत करते हुए 1:21.46 का समय निकाला। इन सभी नए खिलाड़ियों ने इस आयोजन को एक जीवंत अनुभव बना दिया।
