Puzzle Variety Takes Centre Stage as Lucas Déglise Dominates Open the Pot Dijon 2025English
Inside the spacious hall of Espace CESAM, the atmosphere hummed with focused energy across two full days of solving. Tables were constantly filled with a striking spectrum of twisty puzzles, ranging from miniature cubes and multi-layered mechanisms to mechanical clocks and triangular pyramids. Competitors gathered on May 24 and May 25 to test their dexterity across a demanding schedule. The Open the Pot Dijon 2025 brought together 73 participants in Dijon, France, offering a dynamic showcase of dexterity across 9 distinct events and 21 competitive rounds during the 2025 calendar.
The tournament stood out for its remarkable breadth of disciplines, testing solvers across fundamentally different mechanical challenges. In addition to standard cubic formats, participants tackled the flat, dial-turning faces of Clock, the angled axes of Skewb, the geometric shape-shifting of Square-1, and the fast triangular turns of Pyraminx. This rich variety demanded exceptional adaptability, drawing speedcubing enthusiasts from across the region to compare techniques and battle against the clock.
