A blistering final round in the classic 3x3x3 Cube settled the top step of the podium on Saturday as Luke Griesser logged a 5.76 winning average to edge Luke Garrett by a tenth of a second. The razor-thin margin capped an intense day of competition at the John W. Black Community Center in La Grange, Kentucky, USA. Across ten rounds of action on June 20, 2026, the 61 competitors pushed through a demanding five-event schedule that tested both lightning turns and long-form puzzle mastery.
The morning schedule opened with big cubes, setting a high standard right from the first group. Luke Garrett made an early statement in the single-round 6x6x6 Cube, taking first place with an average of 1:34.93 and a best single solve of 1:29.07. Lucy Grace Bryson followed in second place with an average of 1:42.66, while Miles Lentz claimed the third podium spot with 2:06.21. In the 4x4x4 Cube final, Garrett was pushed closely by Luke Griesser, who took the runner-up position with a 27.80 average. Darshan Bhavanasi of India rounded out the podium with a solid 28.19 mark, representing the sole international podium finish in a field where United States competitors claimed 14 of the 15 podium places. The quick succession of rounds kept the solving stations busy throughout the morning, drawing out top-tier speed cubing performances across the larger puzzles.
Specialist events took over the tables as the afternoon program got underway. Nicolas Naing proved dominant in the Megaminx, advancing through three rounds to secure the title with an average of 30.82 and a single of 28.37.
