Luke Garrett delivered an emphatic display of elite speedcubing by claiming four gold medals, capped by a blistering 5.62 winning average in the main event. Held on October 18, 2025 at the John W. Black Community Center in La Grange, Kentucky, USA, the gathering brought together 66 competitors across 11 rounds of intense action. Advancing through the brackets proved to be a demanding task as a stacked lineup pushed every qualification cutoff to its absolute limit.

The 3x3x3 Cube tournament demonstrated the immense depth of the field as 66 hopefuls battled through three grueling rounds to secure a coveted finals spot. Garrett set the standard with a blazing 4.58 single on his way to top honors. Dominic Redisi fought through the deep field to claim second place with a 6.89 average, while Miles Lentz rounded out the podium in third with an average of 7.83, making the final 3x3 results some of the most contested of the season.

Beyond the classic Rubik's Cube, the single-day cubing competition offered a broad test of dexterity and strategy across six distinct events. In 3x3x3 One-Handed, a massive field of 55 competitors challenged the single-arm discipline. Garrett once again led the pack, winning the event with a 9.52 average and delivering the fastest single of the round at 7.59. Nathan Miles secured second place with an 11.68 mark, followed closely by Mason Langenderfer taking third with 12.79.

The big-cube and side events brought similar pressure to the tables, starting with a 53-person roster in the 4x4x4 Cube. Garrett captured another victory with a swift 24.03 average and a 21.56 single. Redisi took the runner-up position with a 29.38 average, while Carson Clark earned third place on a 31.01 mark. Over in Megaminx, which tested 37 competitors across three full rounds, Garrett captured his fourth win with a 36.58 average, outlasting Lucy Grace Bryson at 38.06 and Carson Clark at 45.62.

Dominic Redisi broke Garrett's dominance in the Skewb final, topping a 53-competitor field with a lightning-fast 2.83 average and a phenomenal 1.27 best single. Garrett secured second place in the event with a 3.51 average, while Emery McFeeter placed third on a 3.74 result. In the memory-intensive 3x3x3 Blindfolded contest, Mason Langenderfer conquered the 23-person field across two rounds, locking in first place with a single of 29.48 seconds ahead of Garrett at 51.83 and Preston Hoing at 1:27.95.

Beneath the top podium battles, Oldham County Fall 2025 offered remarkable milestones for dedicated solvers pushing their personal limits. Alexander Renda entered six events and cut his Skewb personal best by 50.7 percent down to 4.97, while also lowering his 3x3x3 One-Handed mark to 20.80. George McGee achieved a massive breakthrough in the main event, dropping his 3x3x3 Cube personal best by 47.7 percent to 12.00. River Van Kirk tackled five events, slicing his 3x3x3 Cube best by 46.5 percent to 13.00, while also recording a first ever attempt at Megaminx in 1:38.11 and a first ever attempt at 3x3x3 One-Handed in 33.01. Henry Powell took on four events, setting an 8.08 Skewb personal best that was 42.7 percent faster than before, while posting a first ever attempt at 4x4x4 Cube of 1:30.28.

The spirit of speed cubing was equally evident among fresh contenders and multi-event specialists throughout the roster. David Barkley achieved a 4x4x4 Cube personal best of 1:37.17, which was 40.3 percent faster than his previous mark, and logged a first ever attempt at Skewb in 7.54 across six events. Thomas Tsai registered a 34.7 percent improvement for a 58.29 personal best in 4x4x4 Cube and delivered a first ever attempt at Megaminx of 2:33.91. Aidan Gifford recorded a 37.6 percent improvement in 3x3x3 One-Handed with a 30.70 personal best and secured a 16th place finish in Skewb. Lincoln Blaes took on their first WCA competition, competing in three events and recording a first ever attempt at Skewb with a 4.44 result to place 32nd.

With 18 podium spots earned by United States competitors across the six events, the tournament highlighted both elite mastery and widespread grassroots development. Every round demanded consistency and sharp focus under the timer, leaving participants with hard-earned achievements to build upon.
