Sujan Irosha Kumarapperuma Sweeps Three Crowns at Nattandiya Cubing Clash 2025English
A sub-ten second average on the classic Rubik's Cube proved to be the defining performance at Town Hall as Sujan Irosha Kumarapperuma posted a 9.93 mark to capture the premier title. Held on October 20, 2025, in Nattandiya, Sri Lanka, the competition drew 27 competitors across eight events. With a compact schedule of 12 rounds crammed into a single day, competitors faced tight cutoffs and high-pressure advancement stages that demanded consistency right out of the gate across every discipline.
The 3x3 results capped a dominant showing across multiple disciplines for Kumarapperuma, who also generated the fastest single of the main event at 8.05 seconds. The multi-round format in the 3x3x3 Cube gave finalists a second chance to settle their nerves, where Sithupa Sanudaya took second place with a 10.20 average and Samath Keppitiyagama finished third with a 10.65 average. Kumarapperuma's poise across both stages set the benchmark for the entire weekend.
In the shorter formats, the fast-paced 2x2x2 Cube saw Sithupa Sanudaya deliver blistering speed across two full rounds. Manija Kalansooriya followed closely in second place with a 2.82 average, while Kumarapperuma added to his medal tally by claiming third place with a 3.81 mark.
Single-round events gave competitors zero margin for error, placing maximum value on immediate execution. In 4x4x4 Cube, Kumarapperuma thrived in the one-round battle, securing victory with an average of 34.94 seconds and a single of 27.90 seconds over Santhiviraj Harikesh, who averaged 41.78, and Keppitiyagama at 42.74.
