The single-day tournament brought together 35 competitors at NALSAR University of Law in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. While traditional multi-layered puzzles demand stamina and long-form concentration, the schedule in Hyderabad placed all the focus on intense sprint events that reward lightning reflexes and instant execution.

Held on April 5, 2025, Nalsar Cube Open A 2025 presented a compact program featuring four distinct disciplines across five rounds of play. Fans of the classic Rubik's Cube followed the action across both standard and side disciplines throughout the gathering. The event gave local cubers an ideal platform to test their solving speed against regional talent in an official speedcubing environment.

Musunuri continued his dominant showing in the 2x2x2 Cube, topping a field of 28 competitors to take his second title of the meet. He captured first place with an average of 3.00 seconds, setting the benchmark with a fastest single time of 2.72 seconds. Adyant Anant secured second place with an average of 3.51 seconds, while Tarang Nadgeer took third on the podium with a mark of 4.09 seconds.

The 3x3 results confirmed Musunuri as the premier performer of the competition. Behind his winning average of 8.16, S Sai Rohan earned the runner-up position with an average of 11.08 seconds. Tarang Nadgeer returned to the podium once again to claim third place with a 12.50 average, concluding an exciting battle among the 35 entrants in the main Rubik's Cube category.

Away from the top steps of the podium, several competitors made massive individual strides across multiple disciplines. Taashvi Khemka entered three events and registered three significant personal bests, cutting her Pyraminx single down to 15.53 seconds for a 44.7 percent improvement, lowering her 3x3x3 single to 39.30 seconds by 38.9 percent, and dropping her 2x2x2 single to 10.04 seconds, which was 34.8 percent faster. Srikar Raj Challapalli competed in two events, achieving a best finish of 16th in 3x3x3 Cube while improving his personal best by 32.7 percent to 21.43 seconds, and completing his first ever official attempt at 2x2x2 Cube in 6.02 seconds. Vibhav Ram Immaneni contested four disciplines and achieved fourth place in Skewb, lowering his personal best in that event by 41.4 percent to 6.07 seconds. V. Lalith Lochan Reddy took on four categories, placing fifth in Skewb, while setting personal bests of 13.42 seconds in 3x3x3 Cube, 6.99 seconds in Skewb, and 5.93 seconds in 2x2x2 Cube.

The depth of progress across the roster continued through several other multi-event efforts at this WCA competition. Thakur Aryan Singh took on four events, earning an 18th-place finish in 2x2x2 Cube with a personal best of 6.43 seconds, 13.3 percent faster than before, while posting his first ever attempts in Skewb at 21.40 seconds and Pyraminx at 12.62 seconds. Hetaksh Kanth Kodi tackled four events, recording a 3x3x3 personal best of 48.78 seconds to improve by 11.3 percent, alongside his first ever attempts at Pyraminx in 17.15 seconds and Skewb in 30.80 seconds. Hanshik Mamidyala entered four disciplines, earned seventh place in Pyraminx, and logged his first ever attempt at Skewb in 8.25 seconds. Varun Reddy Tindi focused on a single discipline, claiming 18th place in 3x3x3 Cube with a personal best single of 20.57 seconds, an 8.4 percent improvement.

The non-cubic categories brought fierce battles across both rounds and single-stage formats. In the Pyraminx competition, Panji Thaman captured victory among 27 entrants with a winning average of 4.86 seconds and a best single of 3.09 seconds. S Sai Rohan followed in second place with an average of 5.54 seconds, and Sai Deepak Kalla claimed third place on the podium averaging 5.97 seconds.

Skewb served as the only event on the schedule featuring two rounds of action. S Sai Rohan claimed the gold medal with an average of 5.74 seconds, recording a final round single of 5.28 seconds. Sai Deepak Kalla took second place with a mark of 6.63 seconds, while Tarak Sai Musunuri rounded out the top three with an average of 6.81 seconds to earn his third podium finish of the day.

Across all podium awards, competitors representing India earned nine placements, alongside three podium spots secured by the USA. Nalsar Cube Open A 2025 offered an intense exhibition of rapid-fire solving, highlighting both seasoned finalists and emerging speed cubing talents across the Telangana circuit as the season moves forward.

पहली बार WCA competition में कदम रखने वाले नए खिलाड़ियों ने भी अपने शुरुआती प्रयासों से अपनी क्षमता साबित की। Bharat Iyer Kher ने तीन स्पर्धाओं में खेलते हुए 3x3x3 Cube में 19.12, Pyraminx में 10.77 और 2x2x2 Cube में 5.46 का समय दर्ज किया तथा Pyraminx में 13वां स्थान पाया। Rama Kuriseti ने 2x2x2 Cube में 5.91, 3x3x3 Cube में 32.65 और Pyraminx में 11.82 का आधिकारिक समय बनाया और 16वां स्थान हासिल किया। Ishleen Kaur Thapar ने 2x2x2 Cube में 7.05, Pyraminx में 15.33 और 3x3x3 Cube में 1:25.30 का समय लेते हुए Pyraminx में 17वां स्थान पाया। Ekaansh Singh Thapar ने 2x2x2 Cube में 7.59, Pyraminx में 17.48 और 3x3x3 Cube में 46.59 का समय हासिल कर 2x2x2 Cube में 20वां स्थान प्राप्त किया।

पदक तालिका के संदर्भ में भारतीय प्रतिभागियों ने कुल नौ पोडियम स्थानों पर अपना कब्जा जमाया जबकि संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के नाम तीन पोडियम रहे। यह cubing competition न केवल अनुभवी विजेताओं की कुशलता का गवाह बना बल्कि उभरते हुए खिलाड़ियों के लिए भी अपने व्यक्तिगत समय में सुधार करने का शानदार अवसर साबित हुआ। हैदराबाद, तेलंगाना, भारत में आयोजित इस प्रतियोगिता ने साबित किया कि स्थानीय स्तर पर स्पीडसॉल्विंग का स्तर लगातार ऊंचा उठ रहा है।

NALSAR University of Law के परिसर में संपन्न हुआ यह आयोजन विभिन्न प्रकार के पहेली प्रारूपों में उच्च गुणवत्ता वाली प्रतिस्पर्धा के साथ समाप्त हुआ। 3x3x3 Cube से लेकर Skewb और Pyraminx तक के सभी मुकाबलों में सभी 35 प्रतिभागियों ने खेल भावना और एकाग्रता का शानदार उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया। अगले प्रतिस्पर्धी सत्र की ओर बढ़ते हुए इस सप्ताहांत बने परिणाम कई खिलाड़ियों के भविष्य के सफर के लिए एक मजबूत आधार तैयार करेंगे।
