Minx in Rottne 2025

Cherblanc posted a winning average of 2:54.67 alongside a best single of 2:50.46 across three intense solves. In a format where any slip or lockup instantly ruins an overall ranking, the French competitor held off Erland Flodman, who finished second with a 3:21.68 average, and Theo Skoog, who took third at 3:41.04. The long-distance puzzle was one of thirteen events held over October 18 to October 19, bringing 28 competitors to Rottne, Sweden for Minx in Rottne 2025.

The 6x6x6 Cube presented the exact same severe challenge, demanding three consecutive flawless attempts without the safety net of a dropped worst time. Erland Flodman rose to the occasion in the mean-of-three test, putting together a winning average of 1:49.82 and a single of 1:43.15 to take the top step on the podium. Clément Cherblanc applied steady pressure to finish as the runner-up with an average of 1:52.00, while Dante Tellechea Hultmark secured the third position with a 2:14.98 mark among the ten entrants.

The traditional 3x3x3 Cube contest, the classic Rubik's Cube event, saw Emanuel Schelin assert his dominance through three rounds of action. Schelin secured victory with a 7.42 winning average in the final round, having recorded the tournament's best single of 5.76 among a field of 27 participants. The 3x3 results underlined Schelin's sharp pace throughout the weekend, which also carried over to the 2x2x2 Cube where he captured another title with a 1.34 winning average and a lightning 0.78 single across three full rounds of speedcubing.

Dante Tellechea Hultmark delivered an impressive double victory across the mid-sized puzzles at Minx in Rottne 2025. In the 4x4x4 Cube, Hultmark posted a 34.31 winning average and a best single of 31.86 to finish ahead of Theo Skoog at 35.20 and Pep Edén at 36.65 across two rounds. Hultmark then repeated his winning form in the 5x5x5 Cube, recording an average of 1:01.45 to lead Erland Flodman at 1:02.08 and Theo Skoog at 1:04.49, capping a stellar display in the multi-layered cube divisions.

Short-format and specialty events provided intense competition across every stage of the WCA competition schedule. Pep Edén captured the Skewb victory with a 2.78 average, leading Frank Lindblom at 3.66 and Erland Flodman at 4.36. Frank Lindblom took top honours in 3x3x3 One-Handed with a 12.56 average, while Theo Skoog claimed the Square-1 gold in 8.39 seconds ahead of Emanuel Schelin at 11.16 and Erland Flodman at 11.68. In Megaminx, Kasper Eriksson won across three rounds with a 46.72 average, clocking a 39.72 single. Eskil Munthe swept Pyraminx with a 2.90 average, Clock in 6.35, and 3x3x3 Blindfolded with a 31.59 average, demonstrating exceptional recall in the sightless discipline.

Beyond the finals and podium celebrations, numerous competitors delivered outstanding breakthroughs across the schedule. Emil Axelsson shaved massive margins off previous benchmarks, cutting his Pyraminx personal best to 4.43 seconds, which was 48.4 percent faster than his prior 8.59, while improving his Skewb mark to 6.82 for a 44.8 percent drop and lowering his 2x2x2 best to 3.73. Aron Andrén took on a heavy slate of 11 events, achieving a best finish of 6th place in Clock, making his first ever attempt at 6x6x6 Cube with a time of 2:48.13, and logging personal bests of 3.59 in Pyraminx and 1:23.71 in Megaminx. Jónsi Persson contested seven events, securing 12th in One-Handed while establishing personal bests of 1:29.50 in Megaminx, 18.34 in 3x3x3 One-Handed, and 10.23 in the main 3x3x3 Cube.

The progress continued across all experience levels throughout the cubing competition in Rottne. Algot Ljuslin took on nine different events, highlighted by a best finish of 15th place in Clock alongside first ever attempts in three separate events: 54.23 in 3x3x3 One-Handed, 3:20.71 in 5x5x5 Cube, and 18.18 in Clock. Olle Eskilsson tackled nine events, achieving a best finish of 4th place in 3x3x3 Blindfolded with a personal best of 2:37.74 that was 13.2 percent faster than before, as well as a 5.66 personal best in Pyraminx. William Hellberg registered a 35.24 personal best on the 3x3x3 Cube across three events, while Theodor Pollack competed across six disciplines, earning a best finish of 12th place in Clock.

Across two days of intense speed cubing, 26 total rounds tested consistency, mental stamina, and precision. Minx in Rottne 2025 concluded with Swedish athletes claiming 37 podium positions and French competitors taking two, reflecting a memorable meeting of seasoned talent and rapid personal progress in 2025 as the community looks forward to the next season of play.

Tystnaden sänkte sig över Rottnegården när tävlingsborden gjordes i ordning för helgens mest mentalt krävande moment. Vid blindlösning ställs deltagarna inför uppgiften att först memorera varje enskild bit på kuben för att sedan fälla ner ögonbindeln och lösa pusslet helt utan synintryck. I Rottne, Sweden samlades 28 deltagare under datumen 18 till 19 oktober 2025 för att göra upp i 13 olika grenar under 26 intensiva omgångar. Denna speedcubingtävling bjöd på en rad starka prestationer där precision och minne sattes på hårda prov.

I 3x3x3 Blindfolded visade Eskil Munthe prov på enorm koncentration när han tog hem segern genom ett vinnande snitt på 31.59 sekunder och en bästa singellösning på 24.98 sekunder. Bakom honom säkrade Ville Vasilis andraplatsen med tiden 1:27.24, medan Kasper Eriksson tog hand om tredjeplatsen på 1:48.26. Totalt 12 deltagare ställde upp i den blinda grenen som sträckte sig över två omgångar, där minsta felsteg under memoreringen omedelbart straffar sig på tidtagaruret.

Den klassiska Rubiks kub avgjordes över tre ronder med 27 startande och där klev Emanuel Schelin fram som helgens främste med ett vinnande snitt på 7.42 sekunder och ett personligt bästasingel på 5.76. Emanuel Schelin dominerade även i 2x2x2 Cube där han vann finalen på snittet 1.34 sekunder efter att ha satt en snabbaste singel på 0.78 sekunder. Schelin noterade även personliga rekordtider i grenen med singeln 1.14 och snittet 1.56, vilket lade grunden för en mycket framgångsrik helg.

Vid sidan av toppstriderna bjöd Minx in Rottne 2025 på fantastiska insatser från deltagare som utmanade sig själva i nya format. Fabian Lönnkvist ställde upp i 11 olika grenar, nådde en fjärdeplats i 2x2x2 Cube och noterade ett personligt rekord på 1:15.34 i Megaminx. Viktor Zenk klev in i samtliga 13 grenar, slutade fyra i 3x3x3 Blindfolded och satte personligt rekord i 6x6x6 Cube med tiden 3:14.22. Vega Malbert genomförde sin allra första WCA-tävling, tog sig an 6 grenar och gjorde sina första försök någonsin i 2x2x2 Cube med 4.46, Pyraminx med 13.91 och 4x4x4 Cube med 2:11.37.

Flera andra debutanter tog också sina första steg på tävlingsscenen under helgen i Rottne. Elias Otterström gjorde sin första tävling och genomförde 5 grenar, med sina allra första tider i Skewb på 28.06, 2x2x2 Cube på 8.26 och 3x3x3 Cube på 22.40. Charles Kajson debuterade i 5 grenar och satte 8.02 i Pyraminx, 8.59 i 2x2x2 Cube och 17.12 i Skewb. Ossian Flink ställde upp i 3 grenar vid sin debut och noterade 22.00 i Skewb, 17.52 i 2x2x2 Cube samt 50.38 i 3x3x3 Cube, medan Karl Malbert också gjorde debut i 3 grenar och klockades för 46.49 i 3x3x3 Cube och 13.68 i 2x2x2 Cube.

I de större kuberna imponerade Dante Tellechea Hultmark stort genom att vinna 4x4x4 Cube på snittet 34.31 före Theo Skoog på 35.20 och Pep Edén på 36.65. Dante Tellechea Hultmark följde upp detta med seger i 5x5x5 Cube där hans vinnande snitt stannade på 1:01.45 med en bästa singel på 52.30 sekunder. Erland Flodman tog andraplatsen i 5x5x5 på 1:02.08 och Theo Skoog knep bronset på 1:04.49 efter jämna och väl genomförda finalrundor.

För de allra mest komplexa pusslen delades framgångarna mellan Sverige och Frankrike. I 6x6x6 Cube segrade Erland Flodman med snittet 1:49.82 framför franske Clément Cherblanc på 1:52.00 och Dante Tellechea Hultmark på 2:14.98. Clément Cherblanc tog däremot revansch i 7x7x7 Cube genom att vinna på 2:54.67, följd av Erland Flodman på 3:21.68 och Theo Skoog på 3:41.04. Totalt under helgen säkrade svenska tävlande 37 pallplatser medan Frankrike tog 2.

I specialgrenarna bjöds det på snabba vändningar och teknisk skicklighet. Theo Skoog vann Square-1 på snittet 8.39, före Emanuel Schelin på 11.16 och Erland Flodman på 11.68. I Skewb gick segern till Pep Edén på snittet 2.78 med Frank Lindblom på andra plats med 3.66. Frank Lindblom tog i sin tur hem förstaplatsen i 3x3x3 One-Handed med snittet 12.56. Eskil Munthe vann Clock på 6.35 och Pyraminx på 2.90, medan Kasper Eriksson säkrade segern i Megaminx med snittet 46.72.

Helgens sammandragningar vid Minx in Rottne 2025 visade upp hela bredden inom svensk kublösning, från de tysta stunderna under blindmomenten till sekundstriderna i de snabbaste grenarna. Med 26 genomförda omgångar och många nya personbästan sattes en fin punkt för tävlingsdagarna i Rottnegården inför kommande säsongers utmaningar.
