The tables inside the Minnetonka Community Center were filled with focused energy on January 2, 2024, as competitors assembled for a fast-paced day of twisting puzzles. Across the hall, timers flashed green and puzzle boxes were arranged in preparation for seven packed rounds of action. Forty solvers gathered in Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA, turning the venue into a vibrant hub of speedcubing excitement right at the start of the 2024 calendar. What stood out immediately was the fresh wave of enthusiasm brought by those taking their initial steps onto the official stage.

A sizable contingent of new solvers chose Minnesota Meetup III Tuesday 2024 as their introduction to competitive solving, bringing notable depth to the field across three distinct disciplines. From the classic Rubik's Cube to the rapid turns of the smaller cubes and the added complexity of larger layers, the roster featured a balanced mix of seasoned veterans and eager newcomers. For many participants, simply sitting down before a judge and facing the stackmat timer for the first time marked a major milestone in their cubing journey.
