Sukant Koul delivered an extraordinary performance across the board at the Kumaraguru Cube Open 2025, capturing six individual event titles to highlight a busy schedule in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Held on October 11 and October 12, 2025, at the Kumaraguru College of Technology, the speedcubing meeting brought together 99 competitors across 20 rounds of action. Koul asserted complete command in big cubes and specialty disciplines alike, demonstrating precision across every category he contested over the two-day gathering.

The opening day established a demanding pace across the larger puzzles and blindfolded events. Koul claimed the 7x7x7 Cube title with an average of 3:01.80 and a best single solve of 2:38.75, finishing ahead of Santha Ruban at 3:45.27 and Muhammad Rayyan at 4:18.42. In the 5x5x5 Cube, Koul secured first place with a 1:07.45 average, while his 1:59.81 average in the 6x6x6 Cube completed a comprehensive sweep of the big NxN cubes on the roster.

Memory and execution took center stage as the blindfolded categories got underway. Solving without sight requires complete memorisation of piece placement, and Koul topped the 3x3x3 Blindfolded field with a single mark of 19.22 seconds. He repeated that success in the 4x4x4 Blindfolded event, posting a winning time of 2:56.55, where Mohamed Bilal finished second with 14:51.00. Koul also prevailed on the Megaminx with a 49.11 average, outlasting Muhammad Rayyan at 51.57 and Mohamed Bilal at 1:00.95.

Side events brought thrilling drama as the tournament moved deeper into the weekend schedule. Muhammad Shayan claimed victory in Skewb, tying Koul with an identical winning average of 4.75 seconds to lead a podium that saw Rayyan take third at 5.31. In Square-1, Koul secured another gold medal with an average of 10.42 seconds, finishing ahead of Nitin Ramasamy Arunagiri Nalini at 19.67 and Mohamed Arif at 23.29. Viswath Kumaraa Kesavaraj took the Pyraminx crown with an average of 3.20 seconds, edging Rajha Sirokshan at 3.56.

Away from the top of the standings, the speed cubing weekend served as a major proving ground for developing competitors. Siddharth Suresh entered eight separate events, recording his first ever attempt at 2x2x2 Cube with a 2.58 single, Megaminx in 3:56.02, and 5x5x5 Cube in 1:55.96, while achieving a best finish of 12th in 7x7x7 Cube. Dakshesh RS took on seven events, logging first attempts in Skewb with 13.74, Megaminx in 2:23.55, and 4x4x4 Cube in 2:12.98. Sanjay Ragavendra Kumaresan also tackled eight events, clocking initial marks of 8:20.90 in 3x3x3 Blindfolded, 2:58.81 in Megaminx, and 3:11.55 in 5x5x5 Cube. Prasidh made a series of debuts across three events, posting 13.58 in 2x2x2 Cube, 11.66 in Pyraminx, and 50.90 in 3x3x3 Cube.

Massive personal progression continued through the ranks across every tier of the field. Vidyut Chittoor Sankar recorded a 2x2x2 Cube personal best of 6.12 seconds, cutting 67 percent off a prior 18.57 mark, while also recording first attempts in Pyraminx at 11.07 and Megaminx at 3:46.23. Vinay Aditya achieved huge reductions, posting a 2x2x2 Cube personal best of 7.91 seconds to improve by 63.9 percent, alongside a 3x3x3 Cube mark of 26.74 that was 50.9 percent faster. Kavinkumar S delivered a 54.6 percent improvement with a Skewb personal best of 9.12 seconds, as Devadathan Unni secured an eighth-place finish in Square-1 alongside a first Megaminx attempt of 1:33.89.

Mid-sized cube events delivered high drama as the rounds progressed on Sunday. Akhil Vikram captured first place in the 4x4x4 Cube with a winning average of 33.17 seconds, with Santha Ruban taking the second spot on the podium at 35.59 and Sundararajan placing third at 35.73. In the 2x2x2 Cube, Muhammad Rayyan earned top honors with a 2.45 average across two rounds, having recorded a single of 1.38 seconds during the discipline.

The tournament concluded with the classic Rubik's Cube final, where Sundararajan emerged victorious in the weekend main event. Sundararajan posted a winning average of 6.90 seconds and a single of 5.13 across three rounds of competition, leading the 3x3 results ahead of Akhil Vikram at 7.47 and Muhammed Shehzad Khan at 8.65. With 36 podium spots claimed by Indian competitors and two by Canadian entrants, the Kumaraguru Cube Open 2025 finished as an eventful cubing competition and a memorable WCA competition for the regional circuit.

कोयंबटूर के कुमारगुरु कॉलेज ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी परिसर में टाइमर की टिक-टिक और पहेलियों के घूमने की सरसराहट से पूरा माहौल जीवंत हो उठा था। टेबल पर सजी पहेलियां और प्रतियोगियों का एकाग्रचित्त होकर क्यूब को देखना खेल की गंभीरता को दर्शा रहा था। 11 और 12 अक्टूबर 2025 को आयोजित हुए इस दो दिवसीय स्पीडक्यूबिंग टूर्नामेंट में खिलाड़ियों ने अपनी गति और कौशल का अद्भुत प्रदर्शन किया। कुल 99 प्रतियोगियों ने 12 स्पर्धाओं के 20 राउंड्स में हिस्सा लेकर इस आयोजन को बेहद प्रतिस्पर्धी और रोमांचक बना दिया।

पूरे सप्ताहांत भारतीय स्पीडक्यूबर्स का दबदबा साफ तौर पर देखने को मिला। भारत के प्रतिभागियों ने कुल 38 में से 36 पोडियम स्थान हासिल किए, जबकि कनाडा के हिस्से में केवल 2 पोडियम स्थान आए। यह रूबिक्स क्यूब प्रतियोगिता राष्ट्रीय स्तर के खिलाड़ियों की तकनीकी दक्षता और निरंतरता का एक बड़ा उदाहरण बनी। 7x7x7 क्यूब, मेगामिंक्स, पिरामिंक्स और 4x4x4 ब्लाइंडफोल्डेड जैसी विभिन्न स्पर्धाओं के शीर्ष तीन स्थानों पर भारतीय खिलाड़ियों ने लगभग पूरी तरह कब्जा जमाकर अपना परचम लहराया।

Kumaraguru Cube Open 2025 में मुख्य 3x3x3 क्यूब स्पर्धा का फाइनल बेहद कड़ा रहा। कुल 89 प्रतिस्पर्धियों और तीन राउंड के कड़े मुकाबले के बाद भारत के Sundararajan ने 6.90 सेकंड का औसत निकालकर पहला स्थान हासिल किया। उनका सर्वश्रेष्ठ सिंगल 5.13 सेकंड का रहा। कनाडा के Akhil Vikram ने 7.47 सेकंड के औसत के साथ दूसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया, जबकि भारत के Muhammed Shehzad Khan ने 8.65 सेकंड के औसत के साथ तीसरा स्थान सुरक्षित किया।
