A total of 287 competitors assembled over three packed days from August 15 to August 17, 2024, placing immense operational demands on the crew behind the scenes. Staging Korean Championship 2024 required orchestrating 37 distinct rounds across 16 official events at the Bohun Rehabilitation Health Center in 경기도 수원시 (Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do), Korea. From early morning queue management to the relentless flow of scorecards, the organizers, delegates, and dedicated volunteers kept every station running on schedule. Their tireless work on the floor allowed speedcubing talent from across the region to perform at their absolute peak in a world-class environment.

The logistical triumph of this major cubing competition provided the perfect stage for high-stakes Rubik's Cube racing. In the premier 3x3x3 Cube event, Ruihang Xu (许瑞航) captured the title with a remarkable winning average of 5.38 across four rigorous rounds, highlighted by a best single solve of 4.00 seconds. Seung Hyuk Nahm (남승혁) took second place with a 5.64 average, while Jaemin Chang (장재민) claimed the third podium step at 7.00. These decisive 3x3 results capped off an electrifying weekend of speed cubing at the highest competitive level.

Big cube specialists found plenty of room to shine thanks to the structured schedule maintained by the event staff. Seung Hyuk Nahm (남승혁) produced a masterclass across multiple disciplines, claiming victory in the 4x4x4 Cube with a 24.03 average, ahead of Ruihang Xu (许瑞航) at 24.57 and DongSoo Park (박동수) at 26.07. Seung Hyuk Nahm (남승혁) also dominated the 5x5x5 Cube with a 40.33 winning average, took first in the 6x6x6 Cube at 1:21.16, and won the 7x7x7 Cube with a commanding average of 1:51.17, leading a sweep of podium positions for the host nation.

Ruihang Xu (许瑞航) proved just as prolific in the short-format puzzles, winning the 2x2x2 Cube with an average of 1.68 ahead of Jaemin Chang (장재민) at 1.75 and Seung Hyuk Nahm (남승혁) at 1.85. Ruihang Xu (许瑞航) added another victory in Pyraminx with a 2.23 average, and captured top honors in 3x3x3 One-Handed with an average of 9.00. Across the remaining side events, On Yu (온유) delivered a 5.09 average to win Clock, while Park Ji Won (박지원) triumphed in Megaminx with an average of 32.84, demonstrating the incredible diversity of skill on display throughout Korean Championship 2024.

Away from the top of the podium, several competitors made significant personal breakthroughs that truly defined the spirit of the weekend. Minhyuk Park brought immense energy to seven events and secured a massive personal best of 49.20 in the 4x4x4 Cube, an improvement of 51.9 percent over a previous mark of 1:42.37, while also logging a first ever attempt at Clock in 10.20 and Skewb in 9.48. Lee JeongJun (이정준) tackled eight events and recorded debut marks across three separate formats, including a 2.91 in the 2x2x2 Cube, a 10.47 in Clock, and a 3:47.30 in the 7x7x7 Cube.

That same drive was evident in the performances of other dedicated solvers across the competition floor. Seonwoo Na (나선우) took on ten events and registered a series of first-time marks, finishing a first ever attempt at Skewb in 7.99, Square-1 in 15.91, and Clock in 9.26. Won Jae Choi (최원재) entered nine events, posting initial competition marks of 24.70 in 3x3x3 One-Handed, 7.64 in Skewb, and 9.57 in Clock. Jeuk Park registered five events, logging first attempts in the 4x4x4 Cube at 57.57, 3x3x3 One-Handed at 24.17, and Clock at 9.94, while HaNeul Kim (김하늘) also contested five events, establishing debut results in the 2x2x2 Cube at 6.13, Skewb at 9.65, and Clock at 19.34.

The technical puzzle categories provided further excitement for the enthusiastic attendees in Suwon. Jaemin Chang (장재민) captured the Square-1 championship with a swift winning average of 7.36, while Yeon Kyun Park (박연균) earned the Skewb title with an average of 3.00. The blindfolded disciplines demanded absolute focus, as Jonghyun Choi (최종현) won the 3x3x3 Blindfolded category with a single solve of 29.28 seconds, besting Ko Youngjin (고영진) at 33.11 and Jaehyun Jeong (정재현) at 38.92.

Longer blindfolded formats showcased incredible spatial memory and endurance under strict judging conditions. Yeon Kyun Park (박연균) stood out by winning 4x4x4 Blindfolded with a single of 2:40.73 and taking the 3x3x3 Multi-Blind title by successfully solving 8 of 10 cubes in 24 minutes and 39 seconds. In the 5x5x5 Blindfolded event, Jaehyun Jeong (정재현) took first place with a single time of 11:59.00, rounding out an exceptional program of precision solving.

With 43 podium spots going to Korean competitors and five to China, the gathering served as a remarkable celebration of regional cubing prowess. As Korean Championship 2024 concluded, the smooth execution across all 37 rounds stood as a testament to the organizers and volunteers who kept the competition moving without delay.
