A winning average of 8.94 seconds set the standard at Juneau Cubing Spring 2026 as speedcubing returned to Juneau, Alaska, USA on March 21, 2026. Held at the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council, the one-day gathering welcomed 12 competitors across nine rounds and six events. Speed was the focus from the outset, with the sprint events setting a relentless tone for the rest of the schedule. Evan Liu claimed victory across multiple disciplines, highlighted by his sub-nine-second performance on the classic three-layer puzzle.

The premier 3x3x3 Cube event drew all 12 competitors into action across two rounds of intense solving. Liu paced the field throughout the discipline, securing first place with that standout 8.94 average and posting the weekend best single of 7.85 seconds. Jayden Mitchell delivered strong turns to take second place on the podium with an 11.13 average, while David Steele earned third place by recording a 12.84 average in the final round. The final 3x3 results underlined the high technical standard seen at the tables.

The lightning-quick 2x2x2 Cube competition pushed solving speeds even further across its two rounds of action. Ten competitors took part in the event, but Liu again led the pack, clinching the title with a 3.42 average alongside a best single of 2.74 seconds. Mitchell secured the silver spot on the podium with a 3.88 average, while Payton Corey rounded out the top three by finishing with a 4.17 average.
