Artur Augusto Mendes maintained his sharp form throughout the weekend, compiling three event victories. In 3x3x3 One-Handed, Mendes won with a 13.07 average ahead of Bruno Henrique de Abreu with 17.17 and Samuel Bortolan Clemente with 18.27. Mendes then added the 4x4x4 Cube title to his tally with a winning mark of 32.34 seconds, edging out Christian de Sena Fortunato at 32.64 and Samuel Bortolan Clemente at 36.41 in a tightly contested final.

In the smaller cubes, Gustavo Mendes Vidal asserted command over the tables. Vidal captured the 2x2x2 Cube crown with a 2.32 average, holding off Artur Augusto Mendes at 2.61 and Samuel Bortolan Clemente at 3.82. Vidal continued his winning run in Skewb, taking first place with an average of 2.28 seconds, while Clemente took second at 4.15 and Augusto Agostini Klappoth finished third at 4.61, highlighting the sharp hand speed required in short-format speed cubing.

Beyond the top podium steps, the heart of this WCA competition belonged to emerging competitors who posted enormous personal improvements and stepped up to new formats. Nicolas Mingori Hafner demonstrated that rapid growth by slashing his Pyraminx personal best to 8.55 seconds, an improvement of 55.8 percent, alongside a 7.45 in 2x2x2 and a 24.21 3x3x3 best while finishing 15th in Megaminx across six events. Josuel Levi Cardoso cut his 2x2x2 personal best by 52.8 percent to 4.53 seconds, added a 31.94 in One-Handed, and improved to 23.64 in the main event. Alice Batista Taveira posted a 9.60 Pyraminx single to go 44 percent faster, trimmed her One-Handed mark to 47.61, and logged 16.92 in the main cube across five events. Sofia Rubbo Tha entered seven events at the Joinville Open by Mueller 2025, lowering her Skewb personal best by 42 percent to 12.74, cutting One-Handed to 42.69, taking 11th in Megaminx, and logging a first attempt at Clock in 17.13.

Other developing solvers took on ambitious schedules and broke new ground. Roney Sterza Marczak Filho entered all nine events, earning a 6th place finish in Megaminx while recording first-time marks in Pyraminx at 10.60, Clock at 12.10, and 4x4x4 Cube at 1:16.82. André Eduardo Kemisch Kupsch completed his first official Clock solve with a 15.56 on his way to 14th place and dropped his 2x2x2 best by 34.6 percent to 3.59. Felipe Claudino de Oliveira recorded his first official marks in 2x2x2 at 5.43 and 3x3x3 at 18.25, while improving his Pyraminx best by 23.8 percent to 10.16. Matheus Belisário Mariot Diniz tackled eight events, placing 12th in Skewb with a 9.58 single, cutting his Clock best by 19.1 percent to 15.42, and logging a first official Megaminx result of 2:57.45.

Side events offered further variety throughout the schedule. Jenifer Cavalcante captured two event titles, winning the Pyraminx with an average of 4.59 seconds ahead of Gustavo Mendes Vidal at 4.75 and Luíza Custódio at 5.05, before taking first place in Megaminx with a 49.44 average. In Clock, Maria Clara Rodrigues Garola Lima secured the title with a 5.80 average, ahead of Augusto Agostini Klappoth at 7.71 and Heron Sato at 7.97. Bruno Henrique de Abreu won the 5x5x5 Cube in 1:07.36, followed by Artur Augusto Mendes at 1:09.06 and Christian de Sena Fortunato at 1:09.56.

With 27 podium places earned by Brazilian competitors across the weekend, the cubing competition served as a clear indicator of rising standards in Santa Catarina. Entre mesas organizadas, cronômetros oficiais e a concentração absoluta dos participantes antes de cada resolução, a atmosfera refletiu a seriedade de um torneio de alto nível técnico em Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Mendes também dominou o 3x3x3 One-Handed, resolvendo com apenas uma das mãos para registrar 13.07 de média e single de 10.05, à frente de Bruno Henrique de Abreu com 17.17 e Samuel Bortolan Clemente com 18.27.

Nas provas de rotação ultrarrápida, Gustavo Mendes Vidal foi o grande protagonista ao levar duas medalhas de ouro. No cubo 2x2x2, disputado por 38 atletas ao longo de duas rodadas, Vidal foi campeão com média de 2.32 segundos e single de 1.78, superando Artur Augusto Mendes, que ficou em segundo com 2.61, e Samuel Bortolan Clemente em terceiro com 3.82. Já no Skewb, Vidal assegurou a primeira colocação com a média veloz de 2.28 segundos e single de 2.13, acompanhado no pódio por Clemente com 4.15 e Augusto Agostini Klappoth com 4.61.

A versatilidade dos competidores brasileiros também marcou as demais decisões do fim de semana. No Pyraminx, Jenifer Cavalcante conquistou a vitória com média de 4.59 segundos, superando Gustavo Mendes Vidal com 4.75 e Luíza Custódio com 5.05. Jenifer Cavalcante também garantiu o lugar mais alto no Megaminx, completando o quebra-cabeça de doze faces com a média de 49.44 segundos e tempo único de 41.38. No Clock, Maria Clara Rodrigues Garola Lima venceu com 5.80 segundos, enquanto Bruno Henrique de Abreu triunfou no cubo 5x5x5 com média de 1:07.36.

Para além das disputas de topo, o campeonato reservou grandes avanços pessoais que enriqueceram a rodada. Nathália Sant Ana competiu no 3x3x3 e alcançou o tempo de 26.99 segundos, superando sua marca anterior de 45.30 em uma evolução expressiva de 40.4%. Natalia Soares participou de três modalidades, foi nona no Pyraminx, baixou seu tempo no 3x3x3 para 20.41, 12.4% mais rápida que os 23.31 anteriores, e obteve 31.79 no 3x3x3 One-Handed, uma melhora de 36.7% sobre 50.25. Kleber Nascimento fez sua primeira tentativa oficial no cubo 2x2x2 com 5.93, alcançou 12.89 no 3x3x3 e registrou 38.51 no 3x3x3 One-Handed, superando os 47.35 anteriores em 18.7%. Mariana Furukawa encarou sete eventos, terminou em 13º no Megaminx, estreou no 3x3x3 One-Handed com 1:12.98 e cravou 23.83 no 3x3x3, marca 13.3% mais rápida que seu antigo 27.48.

O palco catarinense também serviu de porta de entrada para competidores em sua primeira competição WCA da carreira. Davi Nahás Figueiredo competiu em quatro modalidades, registrando sua primeira tentativa no 4x4x4 com 1:03.92, no 3x3x3 com 12.38 e no Pyraminx com 5.79. Pyetro Henrique Martinho Bento estreou em três eventos, marcando 5.06 no 2x2x2, 26.21 no 3x3x3 e 56.25 no 3x3x3 One-Handed. Miguel Libório de Jesus disputou duas categorias com 5.83 no 2x2x2 e 14.14 no 3x3x3. Benicio Machado de Araujo também realizou suas primeiras resoluções oficiais ao anotar 5.45 no cubo 2x2x2 e 23.10 no cubo 3x3x3.

Com todas as 27 posições de pódio preenchidas por representantes do Brasil, o Joinville Open by Mueller 2025 encerrou seu cronograma confirmando a maturidade técnica da comunidade em 2025.
