Caio Hideaki Sato delivered an overwhelming display of dominance across the weekend, taking top honours in eight separate events and recording a winning 3x3x3 Cube average of 6.97 seconds alongside a 5.50 single. His exceptional pace set the standard across two packed days of action, but the broader energy throughout the venue belonged equally to those stepping up to official tables in early career moments. Held at the Secretaria do Esportes de Itapeva in Itapeva, São Paulo, Brazil from January 24 to January 25, the gathering brought together 36 competitors contesting 15 events over 22 rounds.

For many in the field, this speedcubing weekend provided an introduction to the intensity of timed solving under tournament conditions. Stepping up to a competition table for the first time brings a distinct atmosphere where the click of puzzle pieces and the running display of official timers test focus. The classic Rubik's Cube sat alongside massive polyhedral puzzles and specialty hardware, giving emerging talent the platform to test their skills against a wide variety of official World Cube Association disciplines in the 2026 calendar.

The spotlight shone brightly on solvers testing their limits and building their official resumes across the schedule. Lara Gabrielly Theisen Silva delivered a huge leap forward by securing an 11th-place finish in Pyraminx with a personal best of 10.40 seconds, shaving 22.2 percent off her former 13.36 mark across her three events. First-time event attempts and sharp progress defined several other individual journeys over the weekend. Gustavo De Oliveira Koritiake registered a 15.6 percent personal best improvement in the 3x3x3 Cube with a time of 15.16 seconds. Bento de Oliveira Silva tackled three events, cutting 13.8 percent from his 3x3x3 One-Handed best down to 33.34 seconds while also posting a 17.11 in the classic event.
