Rising Young Solvers and Seasoned Champions Light Up İstanbul Mid Summer 2025English

The competition floor inside Metrocity Alışveriş Merkezi was filled with steady focus and rapid motion as solvers gathered across multiple solving stations. Timers clicked continuously, inspection countdowns ran side by side, and tables stayed busy throughout the entire weekend. Held in İstanbul, Turkey across July 5 and July 6, 2025, the gathering brought together competitors from multiple nations who took on a demanding schedule across ten distinct disciplines.

A major story of the weekend was the sheer pace of development among the younger generation of speed cubing competitors. Throughout the schedule at İstanbul Mid Summer 2025, emerging solvers took massive steps forward across standard and side events alike. Sixty-one competitors registered for the meeting, and the continuous improvements logged in early rounds highlighted how rapidly dedication translates into measurable gains across the official World Cube Association tables.

Beyond the top steps of the podium, several developing competitors authored dramatic personal milestones on the tournament floor. Aziz Demirsoy entered eight events, securing fifth place in Square-1, establishing a first ever mark of 2:55.58 in 5x5x5 Cube, and cutting his 4x4x4 Cube personal best by 47.1 percent down to 51.24 along with a 24.4 percent improvement in 2x2x2 Cube to 3.16. Rüzgar Küçüktaş took on four events, posted first attempts in 2x2x2 Cube with 5.83 and Skewb with 18.64, claimed 15th in Pyraminx, and dropped his Pyraminx personal best by 40.1 percent to 7.23.
