Hitesh Kumar Bhuwalka staged a remarkable sweep at MN Saha Auditorium, winning eight separate events in a single day of competitive speedcubing. The powerhouse performance established a high standard for the entire tournament, which brought nineteen competitors together for a concentrated schedule of twelve rounds across ten events. Behind every smooth transition and accurately kept score sheet stood an energetic team of organizers, delegates, and dedicated volunteers who ensured the one-day WCA competition ran without a hitch on February 9, 2025.

Staging a packed ten-event lineup in Mohanpur, West Bengal, India demanded sharp organizational work from the opening solves in the morning to the final podium presentations in the evening. Running an ambitious cubing competition in 2025 across multiple puzzle formats required tight coordination between judges, runners, and scramblers. Thanks to the meticulous attention of the tournament staff, every competitor had a consistent stage to test their preparation across both short sprints and complex big-cube marathons.

The premier Rubik's Cube category delivered a thrilling battle in the final, where Hitesh Kumar Bhuwalka secured top honours with a winning average of 9.99 seconds alongside a tournament-best single of 8.65. Rachit Soni maintained intense pressure throughout the round to claim second place with an average of 10.33 seconds, while Spondon Nath took the third step on the podium with a 12.07 average. The competitive 3x3 results capped a demanding two-round event that featured all nineteen participants who entered the venue.

In the 2x2x2 Cube, Rachit Soni turned in a commanding performance to take victory with a swift 2.03 average, highlighted by the best single time of the event at 1.48 seconds. Souptik Ganguly captured second place with a 3.44 average, followed closely by Spondon Nath in third at 3.56. The rapid pace of the event allowed sixteen entrants to post official results, serving as a testament to the efficient schedule maintained by the organizing desk throughout the morning rounds.

Beyond the standard formats, Hitesh Kumar Bhuwalka extended his dominance across a wide variety of puzzle disciplines. He earned gold in 4x4x4 Cube with a 32.52 average, 5x5x5 Cube in 49.53, and 6x6x6 Cube with a 1:36.57 mark, while also winning Pyraminx in 6.48, Skewb in 5.42, Clock in 8.82, and 3x3x3 One-Handed with an average of 14.89 seconds. The only other individual title went to Nirnoy Barma, who navigated Megaminx with precision to secure first place with an average of 1:01.98.

While top placements crowned the podiums, the deeper narrative of Inquivesta Cube Open 2025 emerged through substantial individual breakthroughs. Tanveer showed immense progress on the Pyraminx, cutting personal best marks down to 10.51 seconds, an improvement of 34.4 percent compared to the previous 16.01. Advit Srivastava tackled five events and recorded a 19 percent improvement in 3x3x3 One-Handed with a personal best of 25.93 seconds to take fifth place, while also lowering his 4x4x4 Cube mark by 13.9 percent to 1:28.01 and registering a 12.38 single in the traditional cube.

Other competitors took on fresh challenges by making their inaugural official attempts in unfamiliar events. Nipun Sharma stepped forward across four events, logging his first official times in 2x2x2 Cube with a 4.74 single, 3x3x3 One-Handed with 32.78, and 4x4x4 Cube with 1:33.23, finishing eighth overall in the 4x4x4 Cube. Meanwhile, Srijan Paul dropped his 3x3x3 Cube personal best by 15.3 percent to 57.91 seconds across two contested events.

The diverse selection of ten puzzles challenged solving mechanics of every style, from turning speed on the clock to endurance on the massive six-layered cubes. Across the entirety of the weekend, every single one of the thirty podium positions was captured by Indian competitors, demonstrating the robust depth of talent present in the regional community. The smooth coordination kept competitors focused on their solves rather than tournament logistics throughout the intense schedule.

When the final solve was logged, Inquivesta Cube Open 2025 highlighted how essential dedicated volunteers and officials are to the sport of speed cubing. By creating an organized and welcoming arena, the staff enabled both seasoned champions and rising talents to achieve milestones. As the local community looks forward to the next season of events, the Mohanpur gathering stands as a benchmark for well-executed competition administration and athletic focus.
