High Speeds and Record Clashes Highlight Hungarian Open 2023 in TelkiEnglish

The floor of the Telki Sportcsarnok bustled with continuous action from October 20 to October 22, as timer displays flashed and plastic mechanisms clicked without pause throughout the three-day weekend. Stacks of varied puzzles lined the stations, drawing together solvers of every discipline to contest seventeen official categories across thirty-five rounds. A total of 172 competitors took part in the major WCA competition in Telki, Hungary, creating a lively atmosphere of intense focus and rapid hands that set the stage for an extraordinarily fast weekend of speedcubing.

A relentless series of 2x2x2 Cube benchmark marks took center stage as solvers traded blistering times across multiple rounds of the cubing competition. Alexey Tsvetkov delivered a phenomenal run in the category, producing a 1.33 single and a 1.55 average on his way to securing the event victory with a final winning average of 1.67. Ianis Costin Chele pressed closely with a 1.37 single and a 1.67 average, while Ábel Egyházy recorded a 1.77 single alongside a 2.05 average. Further standout efforts came from Marcel Ručigaj with a 1.59 single and 2.17 average, and András Orbán with a 1.74 single and 2.19 average.

The 2x2x2 Cube milestones continued to accumulate through the international field. Nicolas Gertner Kilian recorded a 2.00 single and 2.68 average, while Szabolcs Szántai posted a 1.98 single and 2.73 average. These intense exchanges demonstrated remarkable quickness and turned the short-format event into one of the most dynamic aspects of the entire 2023 gathering.

In the classic Rubik's Cube category, Ianis Costin Chele captured the title by logging an impressive 6.41 winning average in the final round to lead the 161-competitor field. Bálint Csengő authored an exceptional series of performances across both large mechanisms and memory-based events. Csengő claimed top honors in the 5x5x5 Cube with a 57.86 average, holding off Bence Barát who recorded 58.35 and Gergely Novotni at 58.37. In the 6x6x6 Cube, Csengő secured another victory with a 1:41.26 average ahead of Barát and Novotni. Ianis Costin Chele diadala és emlékezetes egyéni sikerek a Hungarian Open 2023 tornánMagyar

A 3x3x3 kirakás döntőjében aratott 6.41 másodperces győztes átlagával Ianis Costin Chele szerezte meg a legfontosabb trófeát Telki, Hungary területén. A 2023. október 20.

Tsvetkov a 3x3x3 One-Handed kategóriában is felért a csúcsra, ott 10.65-ös átlaggal győzött. A piramis alakú Pyraminx fináléjában ismét Chele bizonyult a leggyorsabbnak 2.68-as átlagidővel Bálint Csengő 3.36-os ideje előtt, továbbá Chele a Square-1 versenyszámot is megnyerte 11.41-es eredménnyel.

A nagyobb kockák kategóriáiban nagyszerű magyar sikerek születtek. A 4x4x4 Cube döntőjét Gergely Novotni nyerte 28.76 másodperces átlaggal, Alexey Tsvetkov 31.06-os és Bálint Csengő 31.32-es eredménye előtt. Bálint Csengő kiváló formát mutatva az 5x5x5 Cube mezőnyében 57.86 másodperces győztes átlagot jegyzett, a 6x6x6 Cube versenyben pedig 1:41.26-os átlaggal zárt az élen, mindkétszer megelőzve Bence Barát és Gergely Novotni párosát. A legnagyobb fejtörő, a 7x7x7 Cube küzdelmeiben Bence Barát szerezte meg az aranyérmet 2:35.91-es győztes átlaggal.

A Hungarian Open 2023 eredménylistái mögött számtalan személyes áttörés rejtőzik, amelyek a sportág igazi közösségi lelkét adják. Dóra Adrienn Abermann például óriási egyéni rekordokat döntött meg a hétvégén: a Pyraminx kirakásban elért 9.43 másodperces ideje 67.4 százalékos javulást jelentett korábbi 28.94-es csúcsához képest, a Skewb számban 16.85-re faragta idejét 45.2 százalékos előrelépéssel, a 3x3x3-ban pedig 43.06-ot teljesített. Noé Vízhányó négy számban vett részt, először próbálta ki magát a 3x3x3 One-Handed számban 49.63-mal és a 4x4x4-ben 1:53.48-cal, miközben a 3x3x3 kockán 18.96 másodperces egyéni csúcsot ért el, ami 45.3 százalékkal gyorsabb az eddigi 34.68-nál.

Hasonló elszántsággal gyarapították tapasztalataikat a mezőny más tagjai is ezen a WCA competition megmérettetésen. Miklós Orbán először mérette meg magát Clock kategóriában 24.16-os idővel, és most debütált 3x3x3-ban is 53.46-tal, miközben a 2x2x2-es egyéni csúcsát 4.91-re javította, ami 39.5 százalékos ugrás. Tamás Marsi hatalmas programot vállalt 14 versenyszámmal, életében először teljesítette a 6x6x6 kockát 3:19.03 alatt és a 3x3x3 Fewest Moves számot 36 lépéssel, utóbbiban 21. helyezést elérve. Csaba Karácsony most debütált a Skewb (16.05) és a Pyraminx (10.43) tábláján, miközben az egykezes kirakásban 26.74-re javított 31 százalékos fejlődéssel. Márton Pap pedig 9 számban indult, először lépett fel a 3x3x3 Fewest Moves mezőnyében elért 34 lépésével a 20. helyen zárva, Skewb-ben pedig 8.35-re szorította le egyéni rekordját 31.2 százalékos javulással.

A különleges technikai számok szintén tartogattak emlékezetes megoldásokat. A Skewb kategóriában Bence Kiácz 2.91-es átlaggal állhatott a dobogó tetejére, míg a Megaminx kirakásban Gergely Novotni diadalmaskodott 40.24-es átlagidővel. A Clock versenyszámában Benedek Szepesi-Réder bizonyult a legprecízebbnek 5.62 másodperces átlagos teljesítménnyel, a legkevesebb lépéses 3x3x3 Fewest Moves feladványt pedig Nicolas Gertner Kilian nyerte meg 25.33 lépéses átlaggal.

A látás nélküli feladatok során a nemzetközi élmezőny és a hazai klasszisok osztoztak a dicsőségen. A 3x3x3 Blindfolded megmérettetést Thomas Strasser nyerte 24.99-es átlaggal, aki a 3x3x3 Multi-Blind kategóriában is az élen zárt 28/34-es pontszámmal 56:08 alatt. A nagyobb kockák vakon kirakásában Bálint Csengő dominált, hiszen a 4x4x4 Blindfolded számot 2:05.41-es egyéni próbálkozással, az 5x5x5 Blindfolded versenyt pedig 6:28.34-es idővel nyerte meg.

Az éremtáblázatot tekintve a magyar versenyzők összesen 29 dobogós helyezést gyűjtöttek, míg Románia, Oroszország és Ausztria képviselői 5-5 alkalommal állhattak pódiumra. A Hungarian Open 2023 telki rendezvénye a tapasztalt nemzetközi bajnokok bravúrjai mellett a számtalan debütáló és egyéni csúcsot döntő versenyző kitartása miatt marad felejthetetlen állomása a sportági idénynek.
