49 versenyző állt rajthoz a Bornemisza Péter Gimnázium falai között, ahol július 26-án, egyetlen sűrű versenynapon tíz fordulón keresztül mérték össze tudásukat a résztvevők.

Mögötte a szlovák Alexander Pastirčák végzett a második helyen 3.33-as átlaggal, míg Szabolcs Szántai 3.50-nel a dobogó harmadik fokára állhatott fel ebben a lendületes versenyszámban.

A dobogó második fokát Szabolcs Szántai érdemelte ki 4.00-s eredménnyel, éppen megelőzve Alexander Pastirčák versenyzőt, aki 4.01-es átlaggal lett a harmadik helyezett a fordulatos döntő végén.

A déli órákban a nagyobb méretű kockák kerültek a figyelem középpontjába, ahol mindkét számot egyetlen, mindent eldöntő fordulóban bonyolították le. A 4x4x4 Cube 32 versenyzője közül Gergely Novotni bizonyult a leggyorsabbnak, 28.56-os átlagával és 25.43-as egyéni idejével magabiztos sikert aratva. A délutáni program a 2x2x2 Cube kétfordulós csatájával folytatódott a 44 fős mezőnyben. A végső összecsapáson Szabolcs Szántai nem talált legyőzőre, 2.05-ös győztes átlaggal és 1.76-os egyéni idővel szerezte meg a szám bajnoki címét. Ádám Szabó 2.33-as átlaggal szerezte meg az ezüstérmet, míg a szlovák Alexander Pastirčák 2.63-as eredménnyel léphetett fel a pódium harmadik fokára.
