One hundred and sixty-seven competitors converged on the Kyriat Haim Gymnasium on April 15 and 16, turning Haifa, Israel into the focal point of national speedcubing. Over 16 intense rounds across seven disciplines, Haifa Cubing 2025 proved to be an electrifying arena where regional rivalries flourished on the solving mats. Across every division, local rivals pushed each other through high-stakes brackets, matching turns and testing nerves in a continuous showcase of precision. With all 21 podium spots claimed by Israeli talent, the gathering demonstrated the extraordinary depth of talent thriving across the country.

The centerpiece of the weekend was the classic Rubik's Cube, which brought a massive field of 155 participants across four demanding stages. When the final round arrived, Ben Baron delivered a commanding performance to secure the premier title, posting a 6.56 winning average alongside the tournament's fastest single solve of 5.88 seconds. The 3x3 results highlighted a fierce contest at the top of the leaderboard, as Mark Sander finished in second place with a 7.89 average, closely followed by Ben Matyas, who took third with an 8.01 mark.

The regional rivalry between Ben Baron and Mark Sander extended directly into the 2x2x2 Cube, an event featuring 129 contenders across three rounds. Baron led the division from the front, taking gold with a blistering 1.97 average and a 1.08 single. Yehonatan Haim Polak broke into the duel to claim second place with a 2.33 average, while Sander locked up the third step on the podium at 2.55 seconds. The fast-paced category showcased razor-thin margins as competitors traded rapid-fire solves throughout the bracket.

Ben Baron's dominance continued across the larger and specialty puzzles throughout the weekend. In the 4x4x4 Cube, which drew 93 entrants, Baron captured the top spot with a 26.34 average and a 24.56 single, finishing ahead of Matanya Greenwald, who secured second with 31.38, and Netanel Pour, who took third in 32.37. The lone break in Baron's winning streak occurred in the Square-1 event, where Netanel Pour rose to the occasion against a field of 61 competitors over two rounds. Pour secured the championship with a superb 9.03 average and a 6.68 single solve, narrowly edging out Baron, who claimed second place with a 9.71 average.
