Ahmet Çınar Ablak delivered an overwhelming display of dominance across the board in Ankara, Turkey, claiming nine separate gold medals in a championship-calibre weekend. Held across February 25 and February 26 at the TMMOB Teoman Öztürk Öğrenci Yurdu, Goodbye Winter Ankara 2023 drew a field of 30 competitors contesting 11 different official events. Ablak paced the gathering from start to finish, setting the benchmark across small puzzles, big cubes, and side events alike to establish complete control over the tournament.
The premier 3x3x3 Cube competition featured three elimination stages and 28 entrants, with Ablak securing first place via a commanding 7.88 winning average and a best single time of 7.37 seconds. Speedcubing enthusiasts tracking the 3x3 results witnessed Ablak standardise sub-eight-second execution throughout the final round, establishing an untouchable standard in the classic Rubik's Cube. The high-stakes environment tested nerve and precision across 17 total rounds of tournament play over the two days.
Ablak extended his mastery into the faster turning disciplines as well. In the 2x2x2 Cube final, which ran through three full stages, he captured the title with a rapid 1.71 average after posting a best single of 1.34 seconds. Timur Geyik took the second podium spot with a 3.60 average, while Onur Karahan finished third with 4.45.
