Thai Cubers Dominate Podiums as Tangprasittipol Edges 3x3x3 Battle in Pathum ThaniEnglish

A razor-thin margin of one hundredth of a second decided the premier event at the Future Park Thailand Cube Battle 2026, where Enoch Tangprasittipol captured the 3x3x3 Cube title with a 6.72 average to edge Parist Pariyakanok's 6.73. That breathtaking finish set the tone for a dominant weekend by home competitors in Pathum Thani, Thailand. Over two days of action across May 23 and May 24, 2026, local talent swept up 19 of the 24 available podium places, turning the event into a resounding showcase of domestic speedcubing depth.

Held at the Future Park & Zpell venue, the 2026 gathering welcomed 91 competitors across 8 disciplines and 18 rounds of intense action. Tangprasittipol did not stop with his classic Rubik's Cube triumph. He also delivered a double victory by winning the Megaminx final with a 31.86 average, establishing a new Thailand national record in the process alongside a best single of 30.59. Pariyakanok secured third place in Megaminx with a 39.10 average behind runner-up Theptharadol Piam-a-kho at 38.32, completing an all-Thai podium.

Big cubes also turned into an exclusive showcase for the host nation. Asia Konvittayayotin produced a commanding double victory in the heavy puzzles, topping the 6x6x6 Cube with a 1:26.82 average and a 1:18.90 single, before claiming the 7x7x7 Cube title with a 2:10.53 average. In the 6x6x6 event, Thailand completed a clean sweep of the top three spots, as Natthaphat Mahtani took second with 1:29.70 and Pariyakanok claimed third with 1:33.91, giving the local contingent complete control of the long-format battles.

Pariyakanok converted his consistency into top honors in 3x3x3 One-Handed, claiming the gold with an 11.57 average and a 10.89 single. Mahtani followed closely in second with 11.93, while Tangprasittipol grabbed third place at 12.14, sealing yet another all-Thai podium sweep. Thailand's depth was further illustrated by Yindee Wattanawong, who registered a spectacular national record single of 2.87 in the Clock event, delighting the local crowd during an electric round of speed cubing.

International challengers made decisive marks of their own to prevent a complete host-nation clean sweep. Timothy Kong Wing Sum of Hong Kong, China, claimed the Pyraminx title with a blistering 1.86 average, setting a national record average for Hong Kong, China, ahead of Thailand's Phumiphat Rungvichaniwat and Wasu Modjang. Andy Mok Man Cheuk took the Clock title with a 4.23 average, while Malaysia's Tan Kyle Xuan edged out Thamawit Tangtanawat to win the 2x2x2 Cube title with a 1.90 average.

Beyond the top steps of the podium, the cubing competition served as a launchpad for significant milestones throughout the field. Thanapat Thanapornsopa tackled 5 events and unlocked three massive personal bests, cutting 39.9 percent off their Pyraminx mark to finish at 8.86, trimming 24.4 percent in Clock down to 9.47, and shaving 16.8 percent in 3x3x3 One-Handed to 14.34.
