Yoav Vishne Leads the Way at Episode VIII - The Last All-Rounder Israel 2025English

Thirty-two competitors assembled in Be'er Ya'akov, Israel on July 4, 2025, for a packed single-day showcase of specialized solving. Hosted at the Atid youth village, Episode VIII - The Last All-Rounder Israel 2025 featured nine total rounds across three distinct disciplines. While speedcubing enthusiasts often track traditional 3x3 results and classic Rubik's Cube matchups, this WCA competition put polyhedral geometry, mechanical dials, and large-cube dexterity under the spotlight, demanding versatility from every entrant across every turn.

Yoav Vishne established himself as the dominant force of the gathering, delivering top-tier performances in multiple events. Vishne captured the Megaminx title in commanding fashion, locking down a winning average of 36.68 seconds and setting the fastest single solve of the event at 32.70 seconds. His precision across all three rounds kept him clear of the 28-player field, setting a benchmark that anchored the day's proceedings and demonstrated absolute control on the twelve-sided puzzle.

Vishne carried that momentum directly into the 5x5x5 Cube, where he continued to shape the leaderboard. Across the rounds, he recorded a 5x5x5 Cube single of 55.67 seconds alongside an average of 58.41 seconds. By executing high-difficulty solutions in both Megaminx and 5x5x5, Vishne proved to be the quintessential all-rounder across the tournament schedule, standing out in an intense speed cubing environment.

The 5x5x5 Cube tournament itself saw Zecharya Moshavi take the top spot on the podium. Moshavi registered a winning average of 50.66 seconds in the final, complemented by a round-best single of 47.74 seconds among 27 competitors. Roy Tamir earned the silver medal position with an average of 56.14 seconds, while Elai Amit-Wender claimed the bronze step with a mark of 57.00 seconds in a closely contested battle at the top of the standings.

In the Clock event, Mark Sander secured first place with an impressive winning average of 6.44 seconds and a best single effort of 5.65 seconds. The contest for the remaining podium positions remained razor-thin among the 28 entrants. Yoel Khanin secured second place with an average of 6.90 seconds, just edging out Ofer Horev, who took third place with a 6.95-second average. Khanin also added a second-place finish in Megaminx with a 42.90 average, while Tamir picked up third place with a 48.43 mark.

Beyond the finals, significant breakthroughs unfolded deeper in the field. Yehoshua Mishor tackled three disciplines, achieving a best finish of fifth place in Clock with a personal best of 6.87 seconds, an improvement of 51.7 percent over his previous 14.21 mark. Mishor also cut his 5x5x5 Cube time by 26.7 percent to 1:38.80 and dropped his Megaminx mark by 11.7 percent to 1:02.43. Dvir Farkash delivered an eighth-place finish in 5x5x5 Cube with a personal best of 1:07.34, lowering his mark by 22.7 percent, while cutting his Megaminx best by 37.3 percent down to 1:27.57.

Omer Kedar logged first-ever attempts across all three events entered, recording 2:09.06 in 5x5x5 Cube, 23.01 in Clock, and 1:47.55 in Megaminx. Ohev Nassi contested three events, finishing seventh in Clock while setting personal bests of 1:21.97 in 5x5x5 Cube, 7.72 in Clock, and 1:04.68 in Megaminx. Noa Kotzer placed sixth in Clock, registering a 5x5x5 Cube personal best of 1:04.41, a Clock personal best of 8.03 seconds, and a Megaminx personal best of 1:00.48. Elkanana Mishor entered three events and improved his Clock personal best by 30.6 percent to 10.75 seconds.
