Dublin Pick 'N' Mix 2026 Delivers High-Speed Variety Across Thirteen Events in BalbrigganEnglish

While speedcubing disciplines often highlight rapid-fire hand dexterity, Dublin Pick 'N' Mix 2026 proved that every format across the World Cube Association spectrum demands its own brand of focus. Held on January 17, 2026, at the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, Ireland, the single-day gathering gathered 52 competitors across 13 varied events. From the extended analytical concentration demanded across the larger mechanical challenges to the instant reactions of short-format turning, the tournament offered a comprehensive celebration of puzzle solving in all its forms.

Ciarán Beahan emerged as the dominant force of the competition, stringing together victories across multiple cube sizes. In the classic Rubik's Cube, Beahan topped a field of 51 competitors over two rounds to claim the 3x3 results with a winning average of 7.37 seconds alongside a best single solve of 6.06. His authority continued through the heavy big-cube disciplines, where he secured top honours in the 6x6x6 Cube with an average of 1:13.55 and captured the 7x7x7 Cube title with a 1:53.39 mark.

The 7x7x7 Cube podium saw Ireland sweep all three spots, as Colm McCarthy took second place with an average of 2:47.94 and Kalin Doherty followed in third with 3:30.49. In the 6x6x6 Cube event, Stephanie Rose Martin took second position behind Beahan with a mark of 1:33.65, while Prabhav Rajaram Nayak earned third place with a 1:54.47 result. Prabhav Rajaram Nayak also picked up a tournament victory of his own in the 5x5x5 Cube, finishing with an average of 56.32 ahead of Poland's Bart Sekulski at 59.69 and McCarthy at 1:01.67.

Shorter puzzle formats generated intense battles on the tables throughout the afternoon. Kalin Doherty claimed victory in the 2x2x2 Cube with a winning average of 1.73 seconds, leading CJ Furey at 2.03 and William Carey at 2.48. CJ Furey went on to secure a pair of titles elsewhere on the schedule, topping the 4x4x4 Cube with a 32.04 average and finishing first in the 3x3x3 One-Handed division with an average of 13.04. The 4x4x4 Cube podium was completed by Ben Timmons in second at 33.52 and Doherty in third with 34.93.

Beyond the standard cubic puzzles, the cubing competition showcased a wide array of side events. Stephanie Rose Martin won the Megaminx with an average of 27.40 seconds, while Rían Burke took the Square-1 title with a 9.08 average. In Pyraminx, Oisín Olwill prevailed with a 2.64 mark, ahead of Vladyslav Hordiienko of Ukraine at 3.53 and Tom Doherty at 5.63. William Carey took the top spot in Skewb with a 2.71 average, edging Nikita Grytsenko at 2.78 and Hordiienko at 3.27.
