Action Unfolds Across Three Days of High Stakes at Czech Championship 2024 in PragueEnglish

Inside the halls of Pedagogická fakulta Univerzity Karlovy on Celetná, the rhythm of turning plastic and dropping timers set the tone for three full days of competition. A field of 88 competitors assembled in Prague, Czech Republic from December 13 to December 15 for Czech Championship 2024. Across 17 events and 34 rounds, the tournament presented a complete test of speedcubing discipline, drawing contenders across every category from big cubes to blindfolded marathons in the final stretch of 2024.

Friday opened the weekend with long-form tests of concentration and calculation. In 3x3x3 Fewest Moves, Szabolcs Szántai secured first place with a 24.67 winning average and a single of 22 moves. The blindfolded schedule also kicked off early, establishing Hungarian competitor Bálint Csengő as the dominant force in memory events. Csengő took victory in 4x4x4 Blindfolded with a single of 2:59.97 ahead of Jáchym Střelec in 5:16.84 and Balázs Polyák in 8:08.75, while also claiming top honours in 5x5x5 Blindfolded with a winning single mark of 5:33.33.

As Saturday arrived, the schedule broadened to the large cubes and the multi-blind challenge.
