Inside the Westerly Armory & Museum, tables lined the floor under high ceilings as timers clicked through two full days of competition. The venue in Westerly, Rhode Island, USA hosted thirty-six entrants across nine distinct events from May 9 to May 10. The speedcubing action drew competitors together for twenty-five separate rounds, transforming the historic space into a fast-paced arena for puzzle enthusiasts of every discipline.

Solving a classic puzzle with a single hand demands precise fingertricks, delicate table management, and an entirely different mechanical discipline than two-handed execution. Chai edged out Yancheng Liu, who claimed second place with a 12.98 average, while David Andron-Silva completed the podium in third with an average of 14.56.

Beyond his one-handed triumph, Chai dominated the weekend across several formats. He secured the premier 3x3x3 Cube title with a 6.57 winning average and a 6.17 single, heading the 3x3 results ahead of Timothy Yang at 7.08 and Ethan Zhuang at 7.42. Chai also captured victories in both the 4x4x4 Cube and 5x5x5 Cube, recording averages of 25.59 and 52.73 respectively, while placing second in the 2x2x2 Cube with a 1.85 mark.
