Inside the halls of the Instituto Tecnológico de Mexicali on September 30, 2023, the atmosphere settled into focused intensity as competitors prepared for a full day of action. Even in standard formats, solvers routinely rely on blindfolded memorisation techniques and deep spatial tracking to map out algorithms before initiating their turns. A total of 46 competitors assembled in Mexicali, Mexico for the single-day WCA competition, ready to tackle 15 distinct rounds spanning five official events.
The 2023 tournament calendar delivered a showcase of pure concentration and fast hands, as speed cubing specialists pushed their capabilities across cubes large and small.
