Thirty-five competitors gathered on December 15, 2024, bringing intense focus to the tables of Colegiul Tehnologic Viaceslav Harnaj. In high-stakes speedcubing, success demands total mental clarity and supreme discipline, attributes most visible when solvers push their cognitive limits. Although blindfolded solving remains the ultimate benchmark for memorisation and spatial execution under pressure, that exact brand of deep concentration was on display across all ten rounds of standard solving in Bucuresti, Romania.

The one-day WCA competition brought together an ambitious field tackling puzzles ranging from the pocket cube to the massive seven-layered grid. Each competitor balanced tactical risk and mechanical fluidity across six official events. Bucharest December Cubing 2024 rewarded those who maintained sharp composure in the crucial moments, with solvers navigating high turn rates while managing the heavy pressure of the official timer across every round.
