A blistering 1.57 second winning average on the 2x2x2 Cube by Ianis Costin Chele set the tone for an extraordinary display of speedcubing progression in the Romanian capital. Held at Colegiul Tehnologic Viaceslav Harnaj on April 12, 2025, the single-day Bucharest Cubing April 2025 brought together 43 competitors across 11 rounds and five distinct events. Throughout the schedule, athletes steadily raised their ceilings, converting intense practice into dramatic time drops on the official tables.
The premier 3x3x3 Cube event drew all 43 attendees across three demanding rounds of competition. Beyond his triumph in 2x2x2 Cube, where he defeated runner-up Serban Stelian and third-place Matei Florea, Chele also commanded the 4x4x4 Cube final. His winning average of 27.46 seconds and a best single of 26.05 led the 22-person field, outlasting Mihnea Andrei Panţu in second and Radu Andrei Andrieș in third.

On the dodecahedral Megaminx, Chele posted a 42.32 second winning average and a 39.73 single to take gold over Andrieș and Stelian.
