Sirpa Pinto Clinches Triple Crown at Bolivia Cubing Tour - CBBA 2024English
A single slip on the big cubes can dismantle an entire tournament run where every turn counts and there is no room to hide a flawed solve. Josias Milan Sirpa Pinto navigated that exact pressure at the Preuniversitario Prepa inside Shopping Center San Martin, posting an imposing 58.74 winning average in the 5x5x5 Cube final with a single of 54.05. It was a commanding display that highlighted how consistency across every phase of a solve separates contenders from champions under intense competition.
The one-day WCA competition brought 38 competitors to Cochabamba, Bolivia on January 25, 2024, offering 12 rounds across seven different events. Speedcubing enthusiasts gathered to test their skills on everything from standard puzzles to complex polyhedra, turning the Bolivia Cubing Tour - CBBA 2024 into a compact showcase of precision and agility. Every mistake across the long solves carried heavy consequences, yet Sirpa Pinto stayed remarkably steady.
Sirpa Pinto extended his dominant run beyond the big cubes by securing the signature 3x3x3 Cube title. Through three rounds of classic Rubik's Cube solving, he emerged on top of the 38-person bracket with a winning average of 8.91 and a single of 8.34, sealing the headline 3x3 results in Cochabamba. Luis Flores claimed second place with a 9.07 average, while Fabricio Andrés Yañez Terrazas secured third on the podium with a mark of 9.46.
The 4x4x4 Cube contest also belonged to Sirpa Pinto, who delivered a 31.91 average alongside a 29.12 single to take his third gold of the day.
