Adam Tiro Dominates on Home Ground Across Multiple Events at Bireh Cubing 2025English

Inside the Baladeya Al Bireh venue, timers flashed and plastic mechanisms snapped continuously as 27 competitors gathered for an intense weekend of puzzle solving. The atmosphere across the competition floor was focused and energetic from the opening solves to the final decisive rounds. Staged across November 27 and November 28, this WCA competition brought together solvers from across the region to test their preparation in Al-Bireh, Palestine in late 2025.

At the heart of the action was Adam Tiro, who produced a commanding series of performances on familiar territory. Tiro set the standard early in the weekend, turning in dominant solves across varied formats and establishing himself as the primary pace-setter. The local standout showed consistency and composure through every round, navigating dense brackets and short turnarounds to claim top honors across multiple disciplines.

The premier 3x3x3 Cube event drew a full field of 27 entrants across three challenging rounds. Tiro captured victory with a decisive winning average of 8.94 seconds, punctuated by a best single solve of 7.47 seconds. Mohamad Abd Alkarim Haj Mohamad secured the runner-up position with an average of 11.63 seconds, while Mohammad Ahmad Abu Hussein claimed third place with an 11.98-second mark. The final 3x3 results underlined the quality at the top of the standings.

Beyond the classic Rubik's Cube, Tiro extended his title count across three other disciplines. In the 2x2x2 Cube, Tiro won with an average of 4.26 seconds ahead of Mohammad Ahmad Abu Hussein, who posted 4.96 seconds, and Mazen Abu Alfilat in third with 5.82 seconds. Tiro also claimed the 4x4x4 Cube victory with a 31.84 average, as well as the Square-1 title with a 15.45 average, finishing ahead of Aziza Sbeih and Dalia Sbaih.

Mohammad Ahmad Abu Hussein delivered his own string of triumphs across the weekend schedule. Abu Hussein captured the 3x3x3 One-Handed crown with a 14.87 average, edging out Tiro whose 16.70 earned second place. In the Pyraminx, Abu Hussein finished first with a 5.57 winning average, and added another victory in Megaminx with an average of 50.14 seconds. Across the board, Palestinian speed cubing competitors accounted for all 29 podium placements awarded across the meet.

In the specialty categories, Aziza Sbeih demonstrated exceptional versatility by claiming two titles. Sbeih won the Skewb final with an average of 5.84 seconds, holding off Mohammad Ahmad Abu Hussein at 6.08 seconds and Kinan Saleem at 6.93 seconds. Sbeih also took first place in the 3x3x3 Blindfolded discipline with a single solve of 2:52.73, while Ahmad Abu Hussein followed in second at 5:19.17. In the Clock event, Jana Ahmad Abu Hussein won with a 12.54 average.

Away from the top steps of the podium, several competitors achieved remarkable milestones across their individual schedules. Jameela Abu Hussein delivered a huge leap forward in the 2x2x2 Cube, setting a personal best of 8.20 seconds, which was 55.7 percent faster than her prior mark, alongside a personal best of 9.51 in Pyraminx. Jamal Jelani improved his 3x3x3 Cube best to 39.03 seconds, a 31.1 percent drop, while attempting the 2x2x2 Cube for the first time with a 21.97 single. Sadeen Faqeeh registered a first Skewb attempt of 19.51 seconds across four contested events, and Nadia Asad Qoraan improved her Pyraminx personal best to 12.39 seconds while taking on five separate puzzle categories.
