Evan Liu produced the defining performance of Binghamton Summer 2025, capturing gold across six distinct disciplines and capping off his run with a 13/15 result in 54:28 during 3x3x3 Multi-Blind. Held at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Binghamton in Binghamton, New York, USA from July 19 to July 20, the gathering united 18 competitors for a weekend defined as much by shared passion and table-side camaraderie as by the battles on the timers. Across 10 events and 14 rounds of action, the cubing competition showcased everything from complex side puzzles to standard speed tests.

The atmosphere between rounds offered a classic speedcubing environment where participants shared methods, inspected hardware, and cheered one another through intense brackets. In a tight field of 18 entrants battling through three full stages of standard 3x3x3 Cube solves, Jeffrey Chen claimed victory. Chen logged a winning average of 8.13 seconds alongside a best single of 7.62. Evan Liu placed second with an 8.20 average, while Louis Truong completed the podium at 9.15, leaving the official 3x3 results locked in a tight battle across the top spots.

Beyond the premier Rubik's Cube stage, shorter formats drew rapid turnarounds and sharp execution. The 2x2x2 Cube event featured 14 competitors over two rounds, culminating in a gold-medal performance by Eli Rogers. Rogers posted a winning average of 1.84 seconds and a standout single of 1.33. Evan Liu earned another second-place finish with a 2.05 average, followed closely by Jeffrey Chen in third at 2.58. The shared staging areas remained lively as solvers analyzed algorithms and celebrated narrow margins in the speed cubing brackets.

Single-handed solving brought an international flair to the podium when Minghao Zhang of China secured the 3x3x3 One-Handed title. Zhang delivered a winning average of 11.40 seconds and the round's best single of 8.89 across two rounds of play. Jeffrey Chen picked up the silver with a 16.14 average, while Evan Liu locked up third place at 16.64. The event highlighted the technical dexterity that thrives throughout the WCA competition schedule.

Specialty disciplines rounded out the weekend schedule, putting patient strategy on full display. Eli Rogers took top honors in 3x3x3 Fewest Moves, finishing with a winning average of 30.33 moves and a single of 29, edging Evan Liu at 30.67 and Erik Johnson at 31.67. Liu dominated the remaining side events, taking Clock with a 5.00 average, 4x4x4 Cube in 32.93, 5x5x5 Cube in 54.96, 6x6x6 Cube in 1:46.66, and 3x3x3 Blindfolded with a 57.89 average, showing steady control across the board.

Away from the top steps of the podium, Binghamton Summer 2025 delivered massive personal breakthroughs across the roster. Stza Steinberg achieved a notable 36.8 percent drop on their 3x3x3 Cube personal best with a time of 23.59, and took a 10th-place finish in 2x2x2 Cube. Ivan Streshinskiy dropped their 3x3x3 Cube personal best by 21.2 percent down to 8.79 on the way to a 6th-place finish.
