Big n Blind n Clock Xianju 2024

Inside the Sports Bureau venue in Taizhou, Zhejiang, China, the tables were set with blindfolds, stopwatches, and sprawling rows of multi-layered puzzles. Competitors journeyed across regions to reach this single-day speedcubing fixture on August 31, 2024, bringing together specialists eager to test their memory and precision across high-demand events. Long journeys converged in the hall, where silent concentration during memory phases contrasted with the rapid mechanical clicks of timed turns. The gathering marked a dedicated stop on the national calendar, drawing 53 entrants ready to tackle a uniquely challenging schedule of large cubes and memory-driven puzzles.

The 2024 schedule for Big n Blind n Clock Xianju 2024 offered 7 events spanning 10 total rounds, testing everything from blindfolded recollection to mechanical execution. With an emphasis on big cubes and memory disciplines rather than standard speed rounds, participants had to adjust their pacing and preparation. Enthusiasts monitoring speed cubing results closely watched the specialist brackets. The blindfolded roster demanded intense focus, where solvers had to commit full piece layouts to memory before lowering their blindfolds, while the big cube disciplines required endurance across hundreds of individual turns per solve.

Zhe Wang delivered an exceptional campaign across multiple blindfolded categories, capturing two individual titles. In 4x4x4 Blindfolded, Wang secured first place with a single solve of 2:08.38, leading Ziyi Xu who took second in 3:03.16 and Liang Chen who placed third in 4:35.38. Wang repeated the feat at the higher tier, taking the 5x5x5 Blindfolded victory with a winning single mark of 4:46.03. Ziyi Xu earned another runner-up finish with 8:28.67, while Yonghao Xu claimed third place with a time of 11:04.00, completing a sweep of demanding long-form blind events.

Big cube speed was dominated by Ziyu Wu, who executed commanding victories across both large face-turning puzzles. In the 6x6x6 Cube final, Wu took top honours with a winning average of 1:17.17 alongside a best single of 1:12.98, outperforming Yuhang Sun who registered 1:38.50 for second and Zhiyuan Ma who recorded 1:46.43 for third. Wu then returned to the table for the 7x7x7 Cube, posting a winning average of 1:52.55 and a single of 1:44.03. Chongkui Chen took second place with 2:03.84, while Yuhang Sun secured third on the podium with 2:31.35.

The memory events continued to generate dramatic margins in the 3x3x3 Multi-Blind competition, where Yuhang Sun earned first place by successfully resolving 15 of 17 attempted cubes within a time of 51:19. Yangyang Shen matched the 15 of 17 count closely behind, placing second in 51:57, while Liang Chen locked in third place by solving 14 out of 20 cubes in 49:24. At the individual level, 3x3x3 Blindfolded ran across three rounds, culminating in a win for Haotian Shi with a single time of 23.85. Tianyu Zhao claimed second place with 26.12, and Zhe Wang rounded out the top three with 27.76.

Away from the top steps of the podium, several participants produced major milestones and breakthrough personal marks throughout the cubing competition. Jiayue Chen lowered their Clock personal record by 62 percent to 9.55 seconds, down from 25.12, while also shaving 6.6 percent off their 4x4x4 Blindfolded best with a time of 7:24.30.
